Très bon pub Londonien, avec une déco bien traditionnelle. Donc bonne ambiance, service sympa. Je vous invite à découvrir cet établissement.

Nice wee pub for a quick pint after the proms. Quite busy so lost be popular and they have a good variety of beers on tap. Their stools are a little high for a short person like me.

If it wasn’s for that drunk British dude on the table next to us, acting he had never seen 2 collored ladies eating british food before, I would have probably enjoyed my dinner even more. But for a taste of British cuisine, this is a great place to tyu it out. Pies, lamb, fish and chips, it is all on the menu. Add a glasa of Pimm’s to that, and you blend right in. I couldn’t finish it all, because it is quite heavy, but it sure was nice!

On a Friday night out in London we where recommended this bar by work colleagues, a safe bet if you don’t know the area and a very useful tip if they are locals. The bar seemed average for me there was nothing special to draw the punters in, no entertainment, jukebox, just the tv’s. We didn’t try the food as we where there for a few drinks, with four pints of beer costing just under £20 it may be a costly night. A good thing is that there are friendly staff & good take always just a short walk up the road.

Hard to find a Chicken and Mushroom Pie but this cool little pub had it. Enjoyed a pint(or 2) of London Pride. Both the Pie and the Pints were very tasty. Nice little tables in the back and not to loud. Friendly staff took good care of us. On my list of go-to Pubs when get a bit peckish.

We had the Chicken and Mushroom pie and the Steak & Ale pie. Both were very good. Service was indifferent.

Prince of Wales is one of many Taylor Walker establishments in London. The Rumpsteak burger is served with cheese, lettuce, and tomato, on a bakery style bun. The burger will satisfy a craving, but it is not of the gourmet category easily available around London. I’d only suggest the Rumpsteak Burger if you are watching a game or spending the night at the pub and want a burger. If culinary delight is your goal then Taylor Walker may not be your choice for a burger. If a wide selection of beers and a fun atmosphere is your aim then Taylor Walker is perfect.

I cannot recommend this place. On entering there was a giddy, unpleasant mix of body odour and vinegar filling my nose, it was really very fetid. I could not imagine eating there. The table near the gaming machine at the front feels every footstep as people pass(which happens frequently) due to the lose floorboards, which is not relaxing. And worse of all, the lager did not taste right — Kronenbourg 1664 and Peroni on draught. A very disappointing experience cut short to 15 minutes.

My first british pub in England. Came upon this pub from luck. The serve food and a variety of beers from the all American bud, english beers to ciders. I wanted the whole British experience so I got the fish and chips and the London pale ale. The fish and chips was actually a piece of fried fish that didn’t taste like chicken(back in the US, tastes like chicken). It was actually fish. It was definitely fried to perfection and tasted good but I thought it needed salt or seasoning. But I heard that’s how it’s suppose to be. The fries were good as well, but towards the end everything was way to fried and greasy. Couldn’t finish the fried part, just picked at the fish. The beers are serves room temp? I’m used to ice cold beers, but then again I was told that’s how they like it here, like how they do not use ice in their water. Great little pub, seat yourself and pay at the bar. Great first experience. Also free wifi access! Much needed if you are traveling!

This was the closest pub to my hotel so I stopped in here on several occasions during the week. As stated by others, their fish and chips are quite good, but they also have a pretty decent lunch special as well — I enjoyed the jacket potato and a pint in the mid-day. The crowds were mixed depending on the time of day, but the staff was always friendly and fast. If you are in Kensington and hungry or thirsty, definitely stop by Prince of Wales to cure what ails you.

I’ve eaten there twice and the food is good by pub standards with decent portions. They did get the order wrong on one meal but gave a refund. Good semi traditional British food at average London prices

Who is the DJ because I’d like to shake their hand? I love the music at this joint! Super light FM, obscure hits from the 80’s and 90’s; good times. The bartenders are awesome! Each one is super friendly, super funny, and super cool. Average priced and nice interior, if I lived in this neighbourhood I’d def be a regular here(and by Unilocal standards I already am one).

Stopped in around 11:30 in the morning after landing in London and walking quite a bit. Great place to relax and watch the locals chat. Very friendly.

Decent yet not spectacular pub. The big plus is the free WiFi, although it requires Flash to log in which means that it won’t work on iPhones.

Small busy pub just off High Street Kensington. Bitter drinkers will enjoy the diverse range on offer(at least 6 respectable ales on offer yesterday), but the prices are fairly steep(or maybe don’t go to Kensington very often). The food menu is standard pub fare and again a little pricy. Our food was overcooked. One other irritation is that the canned music is a little loud when you are trying to have a business conversation. Not unpleasant, but doesn’t stand out for any good reason.

Gemischtes Publikum. Ebenerdige Toiletten OK.

A reasonable little pub near the tube station. Beer and booze ok, food ok, atmosphere ok. It’s not awful but it’s not outstanding. Only went once but I’d go back again and give it another look.

I’ve dreamed of going to London my whole life — and as part of a very weird itinerary for our trip, we had a one night stay in London before heading out to Paris and then going back to London. Whew! For our one night, my very first meal in the UK, we stopped by this local pub in the neighborhood we were staying in. Very cute, and very popular little pub — we ended up sitting at the bar. I had the bangers and mash. Maybe it was my excitement to finally be in London, but I loved my meal. The gravy had a good kick of spice to it. The sausages were perfect with the mashed potatoes and peas. Hubby had a Shephard’s pie(I think that’s what it was). It was a puffed pastry stuffed with chicken and various veggies — thick and creamy sauce. So good! He washed it down with an ale. This was a good start to our trip.

This is a pretty decent pub on the corner of Kensington Church Street and Kensington High Street. I’ve never really made a night of it in here but it’s a good traditional boozer to head to for a drink before/after dinner/clubbing. I wouldn’t bother with the food but the selection of beers and ales on tap are pretty good. They also have some very conveniently placed games machines which are easy to get hooked on and distract you from your other plans for hours. Easy, gamer.
