For foreigners coming to London, know that Pret is a chain(with outlets in New York now as well). I ate at this particular Pret somewhat often during my time at the LSE, and it was convenient and quick service especially with the long queues that accompanied lunch time. Decent sandwiches and soups(I especially enjoyed the duck and chicken filled wraps). I did take my father here one and he commented that it’s just overpriced refrigerated sandwiches — take that however you want, it’s fast food so don’t expect much out of it.

Let me just say Amber is the real MVP. I came in and enjoyed a cheap, fresh, delicious sandwich, and after my meal I realized my bag had ripped. Needless to say I couldn’t venture into the rain with a torn bag, so I asked for tape and or staples to repair the damage. Luckily Amber was there to help and not only brought the tape and stapler, but also brought me a sewing kit. When I told her I didn’t know how to sew she did it herself right there on the spot and even gave me a complimentary chocolate for my test. Thanks Amber!

This place was my first lunch in London and it definitely left me with a good first impression of the London«fast food» industry. I was pleasantly surprised upon stepping into this place because it did NOT resemble my interpretation of a fast food place at all(I’m from America — take that how you want). It was clean, modern, and — most of all — had pretty healthy options! I ended up going for the Super Greens and Reds Sandwich(mainly because I’m not a fan of mayo and this seemed to be the only one without it) and it was really good! The flavor was well sculpted and I especially loved the red tapenade, which went really well with the rest of the sandwich. I also appreciated how the portion size was perfect for lunch — after I finished I felt completely satisfied but not too full(a hard feat to achieve after a «fast food» meal back in the states). I also wanted to comment on the great service here. I originally picked up another sandwich that was mistakenly labeled as «Super Greens and Reds» but actually turned out to be something else, and the ladies working there were extremely accommodating and let me switch my sandwich for an actual«Super Greens and Reds.» Thankfully I hadn’t opened the first sandwich yet, but some places are pretty inflexible/unwilling to swap after you purchase so I just wanted to acknowledge how that was not the case here.

Today is day 4 of my Croissant Week. I have been having a different croissant each morning at this Pret. Thought I would do justice to the croissants by writing a review. The croissants on their menu are: –Almond Croissant –Chocolate & Hazelnut Croissant –French Butter Croissant –Ham, Bacon & Cheese Croissant –Mozzarella & Tomato Croissant So far, both the Almond Croissant and French Butter Croissant are my favourites. The Almond Croissant is not too sweet. Just nice. French Butter Croissant(with Charentes butter) smells and tastes wonderful. Every bit as good as buying fresh croissants at a baker. I like butter. No doubt I am biased! I have been having croissants for breakfast for n number of years. I do not remember which film inspired me. In the film, croissant represents good luck. Lady luck shine your light upon me!

I live for Pret’s Kale and Cauliflower macaroni and cheese. It’s rather sad when a chain restaurant comes the closest to mastering American-style baked macaroni and cheese, but on the plus side, that means I can usually find it anywhere. There is also a chorizo or prosciutto version(I get the 2 mixed up because I don’t eat beef/pork so it’s all one big inedible mass to me).

Yay yadda yadda I’m a fan. But they have just given all the interiors a make over, which is nice, and forgot to bother with the toilets which are filthy! Falling apart and unpleasant. Sort it out!

easonably priced healthy sandwich that taste great. My personal fav being the crayfish salad on malted brown bread. A favourite with all City workers. I read theres over 100 prets nationwide with 80 of them being in London. Well if that’s true i feel sorry for the rest of the country because i couldn’t go the day without my daily prêt sandwich. All prets food is Made fresh on the day so you know the quality’s gonna be top notch. They also do salads wraps and cakes. I here they give out their unsold stock to the homeless too so an ethically company.
