I like Pret especially for lunch when their sandwiches and salads are always a hit. All of which is apparently made within the shop fresh everyday… The staff is always friendly and helpful and I’ve never had issues buying from them.

Ridiculously disorganised — every morning there is a problem during the busiest hour. It seems to be a location with a higher-​than-​average number of trainee staff (or at least, staff who shouldn’t be customer facing). The place would win dire straits, were it not for the efforts of the four or five competent ones.

In the heart of London you can’t walk 500m in any direction without tripping over a Pret — I have three within five minutes walk of my office desk for goodness sake. This is one of the lucky three — a tiny Pret on Cheapside which is largely a takeaway joint with only limited seating if you want to eat in.
I like coming here for breakfast which is always tasty whether I am ordering some theoretically healthy porridge or (more likely) one of the pastry options. They are always freshly baked and are a great treat which sets you up for the day ahead. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all.
