We rented apartments on Baker Street via McGlashan’s rentals. Pret was so close we used it many times. Wish I had one at home. Always fresh and a quick check out. The last day before flying home I bought a sandwich just for the next day’s wait for my 5 pm flight. It was worth it. My cousins traveling with me did the same since we found Pret so perfect for our trip. If you don’t know you’ll be surprised who owns Pret.

I have been to other locations, mostly in New York, and had aways been pretty happy. The main reason that I have to give this location such a low rating is the selection. The other day I was in the area and was looking for something for lunch. Having not been to a Pret in a while I decided to stop in here. While they had several different types of sandwiches to choose from, they didn’t have one that did’t have mayo. Not being a fan of mayo, this meant that I had to find someplace else to eat. Unfortunately I can’t comment on anything else about this location since I didn’t stay…

If I could I would give this place a minus score. Lots of the frappes not available. Staff were ok but their English was poor. The mocha was terrible and only luke warm. What is it with Pret, the last coffee I had in town at Bank was awful too? Is it a London thing to sell naff coffee? Xoxo

The first two times I have ever had less friendly service at Pret a Manger, was here over the past week. A young Eastern European lady with long dyed red hair, no name badge and behaved like she was the manager was almost ice age cold. Yesterday another person was not great either. However today they were really friendly again, maybe because this manageress was not around? A shame to see this, because I have gone to Pret a Manger about twice a week over the last ten years and normally the service is fantastically friendly. It got 3 stars because of it’s great fresh food, but service is 1 – 2 stars, when normally Pret a Manger service is 5 stars.

I was looking for lunch on Baker Street and ended up dipping in and out of about eight different places before walking into this Pret. I was on the hunt for a bacon sandwich and it did not disappoint! I got an ‘Artisan’ baguette with smoked bacon, lettuce, cheese and Caesar chicken and it really hit the spot. Just crunchy enough that it felt freshly baked, but soft enough that I could eat it on the Underground without looking like my dog when we give him something too big to fit in his mouth and he has to do this kind of tearing chomping thing. Fancying something sweeter too, I also grabbed a berry Greek yogurt pot and one of their own-brand Yoga carbonated drinks. I don’t really see how it’d help your Yoga skills, drinking something fizzy from a can, but whatever, it was tasty. I wasn’t given a spoon to eat the berry pot so I had to wait until I got home, which meant carrying around a pot on the Underground and standing on National Rail, and the thing doesn’t come with tape or stickers to hold the lid down so you can imagine the mess I got into. Still, it was good. Just the right amount of sweetness from the berry to combat the yogurt. The whole thing came to £5.99 too — pretty decent for a huge sandwich, yogurt and drink. They were also definitely the best stocked of all the lunch-y places on Baker Street at 2:30pm. Late lunch for the win.

Excellent food with service to match. I’ve to visit a branch of Pret where the staff are not utterly lovely. In this branch, there’s a guy sounds American who is soo friendly to everyone. Top marks.

Good place to grab a quick lunch on the go! Pret is a good size and gets busy during lunch hour but service is still efficient and staff are friendly.

Your usual pret. But the seating area is nice, get a lot of natural light. It’s good for studying if you don’t mind the noise. They have plugs as well for computers etc.

I never used to be a big fan of Pret and I’m certainly no fan of chains but because of the customer service in this branch I became a huge fan! I leave this branch with a spring in my step and a smile on my face, sometimes no mean feat in London town! You know what you’re getting with Pret and I have to say they have a few staple items that are delicious and yes the prices could be a tad cheaper but the customer service is always really good, friendly and polite. I certainly recommend this branch, they literally make your day!

Lots of choice along this part of Baker Street if you’re looking for a bite to eat. This branch of Pret isn’t the biggest but still has some seats inside and out. As has already been said there’s lots happening on the street so it might not be the best place to stop and eat but Regent’s Park is only a short walk away where you can have a sit down on a bench and eat in relative tranquillity! Staff in here are always friendly, and the food is great, as you’d expect from Pret… Personally I love the hoisin duck wraps, with a can of grape and elderflower drink. Some would say I should drink something more manly, and as of yet I haven’t come up with a decent comeback. Ah well.

This Pret fueled my semester abroad at University of Westminster, right around the corner on Marylebone. In my opinion, this is the Chipotle of the UK: high quality, fresh, creative, somewhat healthy and ridiculously addicting. The quality and creativity of these sandwiches is unparalleled to anything — chain or one-off — that I’ve had in the States. At first I was a little hesitant to eat here as the sandwiches come prepared and boxed — but don’t let that sway you, they’re fresh, tasty, and won’t have you running to the WC. The menu changes often, the combination of ingredients are very different(at least for this Yank), but I remember my favorite being the Tuna St. Tropez. Another mojo-worthy item was the quality of the bread. Anybody who has toured the UK knows even the country’s stock bread(ie Hovis) is superior to the US’s, and Pret’s starch is no exception. Lastly, the company’s business model of giving the day’s unsold sandwiches to the homeless was a nice touch. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, doesn’t it? Cheers Pret, miss ya.

I can see why the UK is almost as fat as the US. When you walk into any of the many Pret A Mangers littering London, you’ll find that the sandwiches without mayonnaise are clearly labeled«NOMAYO.» The use of mayo is so prevalent that its lack is rare enough to demarcate in the same way one would signal«VEGAN.» Really, though, I have little beef with this chain. It’s convenient, with plenty of ready-made food that’s guaranteed to be relatively fresh. The prices are fair, and there’s very little hassle involved in the process. I also like that calorie counts are clearly listed, and that slim options are easy to find. I stopped by the Baker Street location and tried a breadless crawfish avocado sandwich, which was essentially a small salad. It wasn’t amazing or anything, but it was solid, with tasty crawfish and some nice avocado. Matt B. had a croissant, which was cheap and reasonably decent. This Pret has a lot of underground seating, and while it has a little bit of a basement feel, it’s comfortable. I also understand that Prets have wireless, though I must admit we couldn’t figure out how to use the system. Regardless, Pret is a useful British chain.

A medium sized branch of Pret, that delivers quality sandwiches, pastries, snacks and good coffee — what you expect from this chain. There are seats outside, but this is not the nicest location, lots of buses, tourists and quite a grubby stretch of London to sit outside and enjoy your food/drink. But fine for a quick pitstop.
