I had an issue. My Macbook Pro charger broke and my iphone charger, too. Luckily it all happened at the same time, which meant I could solve all of my problems with one trip to the shops. I googled and found out that PC World would have the required equipment. Furthermore it is conveniently located and they have parking available right in front of the shop. I jumped in the car and drove there — that was the easy part. I walked inside to the apple section and was greeted by a helpful sales rep. I explained to him that I needed a charger for my macbook pro. I explained to him which model I had to get the correct charger for. His reply was that every model had different chargers and I would have to look at my charger to make sure it would work. Obviously I didn’t have my charger with me, as I thought that the correct model of the macbook(which they were also selling) would be enough to get the correct item. He constantly said that he would need to know which model it is. I then explained again and again which model it was until I was fed up and said I would google it and figure it out myself. 1 minute of googling later I had the solution and walked towards the isle with the macbook pro chargers. Next to it was another sales rep asking me if I needed his help. I said that I was fine and only needed an apple macbook pro charger, to which he replied(we were still in the apple section) that they didn’t have those. I then pointed out to him that he was standing next to the chargers. He then decided to walk away quickly. When paying, the lady asked me how my experience was, I obvioulsy explained what had happened. Her reply was: «Did you speak to the expert?» Well, obviously there wasn’t an expert — just 2 guys that happened to be in the shop dressed as sales reps(maybe they stole the uniforms of the real sales reps). Have they had actually ever received any training? I doubt it. At least they were kind of friendly. The only reason that PC world receives any stars is that they actually had the desired products in stock, which was very helpful. Other than that It was pretty bad! But never mind I try and not destroy my charger any time soon ;)

PC World is a massive computer shop that carries not only computers but all sorts of electronic goods. The prices are hard to beat. I just brought in my broken Laptop and they have a standard £50 plus parts charge. They have warned me it might take a few weeks which is not cool, but at that price I can’t complain. It is worth travelling to get here.

They don’t seem to have much knowledge on products and just seem more concerned about their sales targets.
