I’m not sure what is worse. The waiting or the disappointment when eventually seen. For anything other than physical purchases and replacements, save your time and use google.

Went in today at around 6pm looking for help since my Mac laptop had been compromised due to online fraud(a company pretending to be Mac care.- I needed some help because my iPhone wasn’t working). I walked up to a blonde girl with curly hair, blue eyes and a nose ring. She was completely useless about it, like fraud wasn’t a problem at all. When I showed her the laptop and put it down on the table she yelled«no don’t put it there». As I look quite young, she was dismissing me as if nothing had happened and was so rude to me. She told me if I wanted to see a technician, but it was fully booked and couldn’t do anything. All I wanted to do is to check if my laptop was still connected to the fraudsters account… But it looks like apple doesn’t care if someone steals their name and starts scamming people. There’s not much here other than a bunch of tables, loads of computers, tablets and phones, and lots of customers and staff. The customer service is good if you can find someone to help you. The electronics are pricey and the gadgetry somewhat dated. No touch screen computers! People seem to really like their kit though.

What a bunch of cowboys! Booked my iphone in for a repair and when I got there one of the blue shirts asked me to turn it on and off or try resetting it… Are you having a laugh! Don’t ask me to turn it on and off, do you not think I’ve tried that! Pathetic excuse for help in there! Jank store as well.

I must admit, most times I just come in here to ‘hang around’. I’ve only ever purchased an iPhone cover and used the Genius Bar(for a repair), so not sure if they really get any value out of my custom(hee hee). Average high street sized store, with a good range of protective covers(although the main stock caters for iPhone 4). I smashed my phone getting out of a car a while back — No insurance(ouch!). Twas a painful experience on my pocket, but they took the edge off by not making me wait, wait, wait for the repair(think it was about 30 mins). The assistant was a very chatty man, which also helped, and patiently gave advice on preventative measures.

I experienced the Worst service at this Store when I went to purchase my Iphone 4, 2 weeks after it was released. I had phoned in advanced to pick up the Iphone 4 and the women on the phone said they had them in stock and to come in and pick one up. When I reached the store that day, having eventually found a member of staff(who was walking around looking lost or trying to find something to do) I asked to buy a iphone. She insisted she had just sold the last one seconds ago and did not have any more in stock,(even though other people where buying them around me) Aaarrggghh… I then asked to speak with the manager, and she said, there is no manager,(WHAT !!!) feeling annoyed, I then left the store and decided to call the store again, I got straight through to the woman i had first spoken to and expained the situation, she then said to come back in to the store and she would arrange a phone for me. I then went back in, and managed to get the phone. I found the shop floor staff member useless and would’nt buy from that store again.

This is not a review of the store itself but of the products, once the shine has worn off the iPhone is not even a pretty good phone, just a mediocre one at that. Its saving grace is also its biggest weakness the iTunes application. I have more than one computer that I use and I have an iPod and another iPhone(older model unlocked from South Africa) I have to have a full back up of all my stuff on a separate hard drive or the damn iTunes always removes all my information of one or the other of the phones or the iPod, which is so damn annoying I end up using my SONY p990i for my calls! Which is defeating the point of having the iPhone in the first place. Oh Yes as for the stores, they are pretty much the same everywhere.

Is it just me or do you feel like hugging the staff at the Apple stores? They are just so nice. Even when you don’t buy they don’t care cos they don’t make any commission. You say you want time to think about it and they say sure, any questions pop back in. WoW. It’s amazing; they email you a receipt in case you lose your original one for a warranty claim. When I got my iphone the guy opened all the different cases for me to decide which one I wanted. Apple is text book customer service, heck they go beyond it.
