My Cousin and I stumbled upon La Tasca as we were looking for a lunch spot. The menu is very extensive, and everything we ordered was well prepared, served nicely and extremely delicious. We had Patatas Brava, Gambas Pil Pil, Montadito De Cerde and Empanadas De Carne. They were all very good, and very large serving size as far as Tapas go. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the prices were decent for teh serving size. I will definitely be going back, as my Wife loves Tapas as well!

Didnt realise how big this place was, but once you go downstairs there are a shed load of tables which is particularly handy if youre looking for a post-work sangria/corona. I on the other hand was not. Well, I was, but since I wasn’t drinking that month, settled on a lovely lime and soda! My «dates» had a couple of jugs of sangria and we collectively shared some tapas which was ‘a-ok’. Alas, I canna remember what we had, but I shall be making a conscious effort to remember going forward as it kinda defeats the point of reviewing somewhere if you cant comment on the goods. Oh, I do remember a craving for calamari which was nicely satisfied so well done La Tasca.

It is ok, go sometimes for lunch. Good food and quick service. I would probably go to the Canary wharf latasca for the diner and views.

I’ve been to this La Tasca at Liverpool Street a few times in the evening after work and it has never failed to fill me up with delicious tapas. It doesn’t get too busy so the volume inside the restaurant is at a good level, you can speak to the people you’re dining with, without shouting across the table. The waiters and waitresses always take our order within a good amount of time and the food always arrives quite quickly which is great as after a long day at work, I am starving! They have always got our order spot on but it can be quite hard to get their attention for the bill. Don’t come to La Tasca expecting to be blown away with authentic tapas as it is only a chain restaurant but I still find it very enjoyable.

Distinctly average. They forgot my Patatas Bravas and trying to get their attention to tell them was rather difficult. When it did turn up, the potatoes had been boiled into submission rather than lightly fried so they were soggy rather than crispy and the sauce was a bit suspect. I left it. Shame, it’s my favourite dish and why we went there.

The only nice thing about the pace is the décor. Other than that the food is as far as it can be from Spanish. Potatos and everything we ordered seems to come from frozen food bag. Shame, will never return again.

Good cheese board, fair range of cervezas. A big subterranean formulaic tapas bar really, obviously no one that works here is Spanish and they have neither been there nor actually tasted tapas. The tortilla is distinctly mediocre, the potatoes lacking the necessary fluffiness, actually, they seem like those ones sold in supermarkets.

Having been to La Tasca a number of times and being familar with what to order we ordered the favourites selection. I must say this was the worst meal I have experienced at a La Tasca chain. The food was tasteless and the Chorizo had absolutely no spice let alone flavour. The restaurant wasn’t extremely busy when we got there and the waiters were relatively quick to serve us but also seemed to be quick to get rid of us and take our plates away before we had finished. I wasn’t too impressed by this and I don’t know whether it was because they were getting busy, but would hope that this doesn’t happen next time. In saying that we will not be paying this La Tasca a visit again and will stick to the one in Covent Garden as we felt the quality and service was much better there!

We had a selection of tapas including paellas — I’ve never had a worse attempt at a paella in all my life. It tasted like mushy overcooked white rice with an afterthought of some turmeric thrown in. The other tapas were alright but certainly not recommended. The 2nd star is for the Sangria, which was pretty good. It may be reasonably priced for London but frankly I’d rather eat out half as often and pay twice as much.

This place had tasty food and was completely reasonable when it came to cost. We got a lunch special of five dishes with a side of bread and dipping oil for £13.50, making this an absolute bargain for London. Everything was delicious, served promptly by a nice and attentive server, and really… you can’t ask for much more. This isn’t a five-star review because we weren’t blown away by it all, but it was a damn fine lunch at a great price, and sometimes, that’s all you need. I doubt this place will knock your socks off, but that’s okay. Go here and relax. I’m guessing you’ll be in good hands.

Been here several times over the years. I cannot say if it is simply a question of my tastes changing as I get older but I do feel that I enjoyed the food at this La Tasca far more when I first went to it. Have they changed they way it’s cooked? The quality of the ingredients? Or is it just me? It’s hard to say. Certainly nothing here is terrible. You can get an okay meal here. But I do not really get the feeling with any of the dishes that what I’m eating is excellent. This is very much just my opinion though and is almost certainly largely decided by my own preferences in terms of tapas.

the food is very good for an average price. They even have a special offer for the lunch: 12£ for 2 which is great! The service is quick and the staff friendly.

Solid food for decent prices. Their menu was so huge that we decided to go with the house selection of tapas and a pitcher of sangria. The house selection of tapas doesn’t look like a lot of food, but between two people we ended up being stuffed. I especially liked the chorizo, the meatballs, and the calamari. Next time I’ll try the chef’s selection of tapas!

I went a week ago and I can’t say I was overly impressed. Having recently come back from Madrid I knew there would be a difference in the food slightly but everything seemed to have been previously frozen and then deep fried or it came out of a sweaty packet. Nothing tasted overly fresh but it was a little on the greasy side and the oil in which it had been fried in seemed to taste a little old too. The only saving grace was the 50% voucher but at the same time if we would have been paying full price we would have been paying for something I wouldn’t like to serve to someone I didn’t like. The service was also a little ropey too and I can’t say I will be back.

Not bad. It’s a bit pricey but then I usually find that with tapas. Foodwise I would say that the tapas here would rank as one of the best I have had. I also enjoyed the Cava Sangria, as opposed to the usual one made with red wine. It’s a very tasty drink and is a bit more of a quencher than the regular variety. The venue is not bad, it’s basement location means it’s easy to forget you are near such a busy and unpleasant part of London. I probably will be back here but I can’t quite give it 4 stars despite the good food and friendly staff. The size of the bill and the time it took to get our hands on it holds it back.

They have this amazing deal after 5pm, unlimited tapas for £10 per person, and from a pretty good selection too! Not sure if it is everyday or just on Mondays, but my friends and I had a really good meal. Having tried a couple of tapas places before, I have to say that the quality of the food here was just about average, with the vegetable paella very disappointing, but the meatballs and fried fish really good. The calamari was good too, although a bit salty, but when we ordered seconds we instructed the waitress to tell the chef to put less salt and it came out perfect! Service was very prompt, but as it was pretty much empty on Monday, that was to be expected. This branch is pretty big, with loads of tables and space for dancing too, so its very suitable for big groups or office parties. It is also good for intimate dining too, with many corner tables and sofas.

I love this place. I know there are classier tapas bars out there but why give up a good thing when you find it? I have been here countless times over the last 3 years and really enjoy the atmosphere, clientele and of course the food and drink! Anything on the menu is worth trying. The food isn’t worthy of any Michelin stars but it’s all tasty and the house red rioja is always a winner. The staff are friendly too and the music is great with salsa class and live music nights. I can’t vouch for any of the other venues in this chain but every time I visit this one I completely forget I’m at work and can completely relax. The regular offers make it even more tempting. You can’t go wrong.

Not the best tapas in the world, but far from the worst, and reasonably priced, especially with the 2-for-1 offers they often provide. This branch is underground so is a little gloomy, particularly the corner tables. Last time I ate here the waiter spilled a drink across the table and wasn’t overly apologetic, but other than that the service was perfectly fine though, like the food, nothing to write home about.
