Description

Specialties

Please notice that all students in the US may chose to either have internet based lessons with K E Querns Langley, who is now in London, or be referred to another local teacher.

Our music school began offering voice lessons in London in 2003 at our location in Marylebone London. K E Querns Langley founded the studio because he felt there was a lack of legitimate Bel Canto training available to singers in London. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist, our Vocal Instructors offer world class vocal tuition & music classes for everyone! You’ll work on exciting solo music and ensemble projects as well as receive expert advice and tips on style and vocal technique from our acclaimed voice teachers & vocal coaches at either our London, Philadelphia, New York locations or via online singing lessons.

History

Established in 2003.

With the K E Querns Langley Bel Canto Vocal Studio, students have the option to have voice lessons in London Philadelphia or New York in person with their vocal instructor or to have online singing lessons. Either way we help students free the natural voice primarily through use of Bel Canto technique handed down through my teachers directly from both the ‘Garcia /Marchesi’ and ‘Lamperti’ traditions, but for those students whom Modal Singing is a more appropriate technique, vocal tuition will be offered in contemporary vocal pedagogical style. We also help the student to understand how their physical and emotional states affect the singing voice, and rectify any negative impact.

As a voice teacher, I explain the use of legato, sostenuto (support) /appoggio and placement ‘in maschera’ through demonstration and technical /physiological /anatomical explanations.
