My very first impression was around four stars. Nice, spacey room with well equipped bar and lively atmosphere. Menu looked also very promising. Large assortment of appetizers, nicely described mains and few desserts. Though the magic was gone once food started to arrive on our table… Appetizers were very basic, some ham and cheese. Best was avocado bruschetta. Squids were gummy. Though al of this was still better than mains. Turkey described as «Free-range one stuffed with prosciutto & provolone, breadcrumbed & topped with a free-range egg & black truffle» was a regular wienerschnizel with no signs of prosciutto nor truffle. And even if it was somewhere hidden, had no effect on taste. The steaks were nice, but only one person got it right. Two people that ordered blue, got medium2well. And we have waited ages to get the dishes, even though it was Sunday and the restaurant was half empty. So all in all great potential, but quality wise we have all expected much more. Especially after seeing smiley Jamie looking at us from the restaurant’s website. Well, reality does not follow imagination.

Quite a bit of confusion to start. I wanted to have a glass of wine and get food to take to my room. The very very nice bartender checked but it isn’t possible. He said that they don’t have«to go containers». I guess you should eat up here because apparently there are no doggie bags! A London thing or a Jamie’s thing? Not quite sure! I also tried to order the garlic bread for 3 pounds but it wasn’t available. They said I could order the artisan bread for 4 pounds. A fancier bread without melted Butter and Garlic. No thank you! Talk about a bait and switch! I declined. Instead I ordered the spinach and ricotta croquettes, the small Caesar salad And the small turbo arrabbiatta. All were VERY good. The arrabiatta is not for The weak of heart. I truely wish my hub was here to enjoy. Despite the slow start I was very happy. I am happy I stuck it out. I think i Might try to charge to my room At the attached hilton but I don’t want to blow their minds

I found the staff really attending and the food a lot better than average. Absolutely a place I could visit again.

Pretty poor all round. Didn’t have the beer we ordered but didn’t figure that out for twenty minutes, they did give us the round for free though. Food was very small and pretty low quality for the price. It didn’t seem very fresh and the turkey either came from frozen or was processed until all flavour was removed. Dessert was good even if they took 30 minutes to bring out a brownie. The worst thing about the whole sub par experience was seeing a manager disagreeing with an elderly couple over their average food. Don’t argue just make it better.

Not good enough. This place drags down the already average reputation of Jamie’s Italian to sub average I can believe he would associate his name with this. Busy Friday night and place fairly full. Ordered polenta chips and came not prepared properly with no rosemary. Sent back and replacement had little bit of rosemary but tasteless despite being greasy. Bolognese pasta was ok but pizza not very good even compared to places like Strada which is walking distance from here. Wine also expensive for what it was. Have eaten at other Jamie’s places here and overseas and been ok. This location is a real miss.

Too bad I did not read the earlier review because it appears to be accurate. This is a hotel attached restaurant. I waited to be seated when the restaurant was fairly empty. Then no waiter for an unusual amount of time. I ordered all at once and it took a while to get the food. First he brought the wrong dish. When the correct meal arrived it was average at best. I ordered the summer risotto because there was not much else that looked interesting. The risotto was a bit bland and did not have much of the truffle flavor. The atmosphere is good and lively but the service and food is sub par. My advice would be stick to the bar until they improve the service and food.

If I could have given it no stars I would have the worst service I have had in London food just ok, some not good like out of a freezer, beer was the best part, waiter was awful, gave me someone else bill and when I told him he got lost after 20 minutes I went inside then he said couldn’t give me a receipt ! But it was like 37.5 pounds I said thank you but no call me when you have a written bill he came back in another 10 minutes with the correct bill I paid and would not recommend this place to anyone it was embarrassing
