I love Pizza Lupa. Living in the London Bridge/Borough area, Pizza Lupa is the best takeout pizza I’ve had in London and so convenient, as it does offer takeaway! I have tried a few different pizzas and particularly love their Tropical Pizza. Their appetizers are not of the same quality as their pizza, so I would stick to just the pies. They come in various sizes and even better, you can customize your pizzas, which for some takeaway services is not an option. The service takes at least 55 minutes for takeaway during the dinner hour, but it’s worth the wait. You also can earn points and get rewards regularly with them. It’s a great pizza service and I highly recommend it!

Pizza is good. Delivery service is terrible. They can’t find our flat despite me giving the correct info.

I honestly know very little about Lupa’s origins or their business model, which involves mysterious name changes every now and then, as has recently happened in West Hampstead. I don’t care. The pizza is phenomenal. Take it from me, I just risked my life going to Naples just to have the world’s best pizza. Ok, Lupa is not as good as Neapolitan pizza but it is better than most delivery-style pizza BYFAR. We are obsessed and order it once a week and if you do it through their website, you get Lupa Points that eventually add up to great discounts. Honestly, I haven’t been thrilled with some toppings but there are some that are as good as some New York delivery places. Try the Cucina Piccante and the best option on the menu, the Pizza Fiama with Parmesan cheese and Nduja(Calabrian spicy salami that just melts into little puddles of volcanic goodness). So happy this is our local pizza spot.

Delivery pizza for dinner — not usually my thing. There’s usually way too much cheese or grease on it, and while its satisfying in the moment, everything starts to feel too heavy and ill afterwards. But not with Pizza Lupa, no no no.. I will happily have their pizza for dinner anyday! They only have 3 locations in London, the one by London Bridge being the most central one. They only do delivery, and as far as I know, you’re not able to able to take away, which is a shame. Check out their website for the full menu, but they have got some amazing toppings, such as truffle oil, capers, handmade meatballs, roasted aubergine, prosciutto, fresh parmasan, artichoke. the list goes on. There is a good balance of sauce /crust /toppings, in that its not too overloaded with one or the other. I’ve tried their pizza twice, and have gotten half and half, 17″ pizza for £16/£17. It might not be the Papa John’s £10 any size deal, but shell out the extra money, its worth it! If you live in the area, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed! If you don’t live in the area, find a friend who does, and order in. For the one place in London where I’m willing to stay in and order from — 5 stars.

This is some of my favorite pizza in London. It’s thin crust and it’s extraordinarily fresh, crispy and covered in the freshest ingredients. Some of the sausage pizzas unfortunately tend to be slightly oily. Diavola and the Quattro Stagioni Pepperoni are my favorites but it’s all top notch. The delivery times quoted is 45 minutes, which tends to be a large overestimate.

I ordered Pizza Lupa on a Tuesday night late at work. Not only did the pizza take 2 hours to arrive(don’t get me started on that) but to be honest, it wasn’t all that great and certainly not worth the wait. Ill stick to Pizza Express next time!

I should kick-off by saying that this is a review would get a 4.5 stars, but if forced to decide I think it tips over into 5 star territory — for what it is, it’s pretty much the best in class by a country mile. Lupa is a very classic pizzeria, none of this Pizza Hut deep-pan Americanised nonsense. The thin, crisp base is packed full of flavour and enjoys a great texture, both crispy and chewy in equal measure. This is easily on par with some of the better pizza I’ve eaten in Rome and beyond. Ingredients appear top-notch, authentic, and fairly imaginative — anywhere that gives the options of nduja or artichoke has to be doing something a bit different. The pizzas are just on the right side of lightly sauced, and toppings are about average in quantity, though pizza in this style is never dripping with toppings or cheese. Food besides the pizza is also very high quality. The chicken wings, whilst not spicy, are beautifully succulent and well-flavoured, and served with a wonderful bed of rocket and sliced tomato. It’s little touches like this which speak to the great ethos behind Lupa. Cheesy garlic bread was abundant and very garlicky. Service is spectacularly efficient; the quoted time is 40 – 45 minutes, but I often get mine in just over 20. This may not continue to hold true as the business scales, but currently it’s brilliant. Drivers have usually been very friendly, only one has been pretty brusque/perfunctory, but I’m 99% sure that’s because he doesn’t speak very good English. In terms of value for money, I haven’t seen any offers for this branch, and it comes in at £15 for a very large pizza, which is not at all bad considering the quality. They also operate a loyalty scheme which equates to 20% off in the long-run, so that’s a bonus. All in all, it’s very hard to find fault with Lupa — they really are doing an excellent job. The only minor disappointment was that their arancini was almost entirely lacking in meat, but we’ve only had it once so that may have been an irregular batch. Still tasty nonetheless. Highly Recommended.
