Greggs

Ahoy!
Greggs has had a revamp. Well, I believe they all are gradually but this one in Southfields has recently and it’s looking fine. Damn fine.
Standard Baker shop before, now it’s a modern, sleek and bolder baker shop, still with all it had previously but now with some additions, most notably a small seating deck outside with some chairs and tables for you if you have some time to stop and eat your sandwich/​baguette/​pizza slice/​muffin/​pasty/​cake/​bun/​doughnut/​bread roll/​crisps or drink your beverage of choice (hot or cold but no booze) before dashing off to something super important (or unimportant, depending on your plans).
The new look Greggs is just the same size as it was before, there has been no extensive building work but with some ingenious counter repositioning, they’ve managed to open up a lot more space on the shop floor.
My particular favourite Greggs snack is the ‘Bloomer Sandwich’. The filling isn’t necessarily important, it’s all about the bread. Thick and so soft it must be made from kittens it’s blooming marvellous.
