This tiny little deli has the very best baguettes in London. They do a range of sandwiches, all based around two things; meat and cheese. But the real star of every bite is the baguette. Crusty on the outside and soft in the middle, the bread here is so good I quite often consider just getting a plain baguette to munch on instead. They also do some delicious sweets including eclairs, tarts and pastries. And have a small range of French groceries if you make it in past the deli counter.

Baguetres are perfect, combined actions are delicious(I had the ham brie and jam sandwich) and the prices are low. Great lunch spot. Only minor complaints are there no seats because its tiny and that they don’t have cheddar. Their cheddar like cheese was a swiss. Not the same. Delicious though.

I am so pleased that we have Chanteroy — or ‘the French Bakery’ as it is locally known — right by our house. It is a win every time, whether it is for morning croissants(that they sell by the box load at the weekend and that is not an exaggeration!); for a lunchtime baguette sandwich(I recommend the Bayonne Ham with Emmentale); or a cheeky little treat on the way home from work. The food is always super fresh and very good. Having said all that, the place itself is run by all French staff, who sometimes appear rude(but perhaps that is a cultural thing?) The extremely narrow shop makes for a tense and somewhat claustrophobic queueing experience, but it is well worth the wait. Other minor annoyance is that they open at 8am each day, which cuts out much of the morning business crowd. All in all, it is genuine French baked goods, at painfully cheap prices, in a quaint little shop.

Can’t believe there is only one review for this place. Having lived around the corner it’s obvious what an awesome little business this is. They serve the best Baguettes around, the queues on the Sat and Sun morning are proof of this. The staff are mostly french as are a lot of the customers. Everything they have in the store is fresh and really good value. Don’t be put off by any queues, they move pretty fast and it’s worth the wait. My favourite is the Salami and Brie baguette followed by a warmed up quiche. Easy to get hooked.

this deli is the king of delis south of the river. like the first reviewer said it’s a take away only but the baguettes are the perfect accompaniment for a stroll through wimbledon park, 5 minutes walk away. try get there in the mornings when the baguettes are still hot. the smells from this deli will make you froth at the mouth. apparently a few Chelsea FC players(Drogba, Essien) visit the shop on occasion such is their rep

yUM YUMYUM! Family run deli serving very good value for money french loaf sandwiches with your selection of brie salami, emental, tuna mayonnaise, chicken mayonnaise and salds, to name but a few fillings. The sandwichs are £2-£3.50 each and are delicious and huge, enough to fill teh gap. They also sell other french food and also some pastries are tarts. This deli is a few stores down from the station. If you in needof a snack or lunch pop in here. Their food is freshly prepared and just so nice! The shop is small so expect to queque(due to its popularity) akwardly till you are served. The French staff are very freindly and patient as you try to decide from the multitude of fillinsg which to have. Do yourslef a favour and stop here one day for a bite to eat. No sit down dining offered only take away.
