When I first got to University I was immediatelt drawn in by greggs crisp and clean interior, which to me seemed much more professional looking than the pret a manger two doors down. I also think the food is much better: there is wide range of both hot and cold sandwiches. What I mostly like about this place is that it resembles a proper bakery when it comed to pastry, something London really lacks. Fun fact: I found a «belgian bun» here, a sweet pastry, but I am from Belgium and I have never seen one in my life!

This place is ok. It’s decently priced, but the food isn’t that great. The chicken bakes and steak bakes are probably their best food, but are very flaky and a bit oily. Also, for some reason, they have recently decided to stop chilling their drinks. Makes me wonder why, as it is now summer. The machine holding the drinks used to keep them cold during the winter. The baguette sandwiches are rock hard, because they are stale-ish. The donuts are meh. MEH. If you want to pay by card, you have to spend at least £5 or something.

this was my first encounter with a greggs. actually my first proper taste of a pasty or a sausage roll… they may be common to those of you in the uk but to me they were like little bits of heaven… for the rest of my vacation i had to buy one at every spot i saw them and carry extras around in my pocket because i loved them that much… highly highly recommended…
