Gourmet Burger Kitchen

As with any GBK you can expect to pay a pretty penny for your food, but it’s worth it. Many of the burgers are massive, the sides and dips are delicious, and the milkshakes are amazing. Love coming here.

I love this place. They make amazing burgers and they also have better choice for vegetarians now. I prefer a medium beef burger, I get an excellent one just as I like it each time. The staff is helpful and sweet, and unless you really push your imagination as to what extras you get in your bun, the price is good too.
The reasons I knocked two stars off; you get unreasonably charged for mayo (although ketchup and mustard are free) and number of yummy mummies who are unable to control unreasonably noisy kids.

Bien qu’un peu cher, c’est un endroit tout à fait convenable pour déguster un burger de qualité.
La carte propose une vingtaine de versions: beef, poulet, végétarien, agneau et même sanglier.
Le choix des sauces est tout aussi varié: garlic & mayo, pesto, avocat bacon, bleu, barbecue, mexicain…
Quelques salades sont également proposées (entre £5 et £8) pour les plus consciencieux.
Les prix vont de £6 pour un burger classique à £10 pour celui au sanglier…

As a chain its pretty much the same as any GBK. I have eaten her a few times and service is always terrible.
Even when picking up a pre-​ordered meal they got it wrong.
It’s a real shame as the food is good. The staff just need organising and managed better.

When I first heard about Gourmet Burger Kitchen I scoffed at the idea of a place devoted to so-​called gourmet versions of what’s usually a horrific sort of food to begin with. But then a friend dragged me along for stomach lining purposes before my birthday drinks this summer, I demolished the Veggie & Camembert burger (remove the camembert and it’s vegan, yay!) and adjusted my mindsetslightly. I’m still not big on the idea of being able to eat an identical burger in various locations across the country, but if I squeeze my eyes shut tightly enough I can pretend the East Dulwich branch is the only onemight get some funny looks from the waiting staff though.
Oh, and if you’re dithering, always choose the fat chips not the skinny ones. They’re so much better!

Decent place to have a burger especially when they had the buy one get one free promotion on. There are lots of burgers to choose from and they are BIG!
I ordered the Jamaican burger with mango and ginger sauce, salad, mayo and relish recently. Nice enough but they can be pretty messy to eat (even when you cut the burger in half and pick it up). The wild boar burger was more expensive and nothing special.
The milkshakes are huge — certainly big enough for two people! Strawberry was nice — they even had Oreo flavour on the menu.
Good for an informal and casual dining experience.
Lovely and friendly staff at this branch too.

If you like burgers, you cant go wrong with this place. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you need to order sides to fill you up — you wont need them! Truly a feat of engineering, these burgers are certainly gourmet. My personal fave is the chicken with brie and cranberry sauce burger — yum! It is pretty difficult making a choice from their foot-​long menu of burger options. Great for a novelty meal out with friends, and they do take-​away too.

Who said too much of a good thing is bad for you? They’ve obviously never been in one of these joints! Love the bubbly nature of the staff whilst the food itself is heavenly. This site and the one down in Wimbledon are regular family hangouts now. Teens especially seem to feel very at home in them — but actually eat too which is nice! The blue cheese dressing is…
