Specialties
A french bistro with a proper british accent…
That’s because we marry the best of british with artful french cooking. We also work in rhythm with the seasons, and prefer the more inspiring and less predicable of ingredients, always fresh in and fresh out, and lovingly sourced from niche, local suppliers.
Enjoy breakfast time classics with a twist, like eggs benedict with duck egg cocotte inside a tall muffin, to a selection of satisfying lunchtime tartines, to up-to-the-minute seasonal dishes including braised lamb belly, chargrilled heart and chorizo or steak bavette, frites and roast marrowbones. Or pop along on Sunday to sample one of our sell-out Sunday roasts.
Located on Notting Hill’s Portobello Road, our bistro is an intimate, relaxed setting where you can feel at home, and enjoy being looked after with a crisp, friendly service. You can even say hello to the chef while he’s creating in our open kitchen.

Nearly a century later it has reemerged as a Bistro bearing one of the only original signs of early Portobello Road…
