Registered charity (no. 1 111 649) improving the quality of life for those who live and work in Fitzrovia.

Housing, welfare and debt advice in English, Bengali and Urdu. Drop-​in advice 10.00am to 1.30pm Tuesdays; women-​only advice service 11.00am to 1pm Wednesdays.

Delivers community development projects for older people and the Bangladeshi community.

Holds exhibitions: photographs, local history, art, culture and literature. Community photographic archive.

Publishes community newspaper Fitzrovia News and organises Fitzrovia Festival.

Responds to planning and licensing applications to City of Westminster and London Borough of Camden.

Supports volunteering.

History

Established in 1975.

Community organisation started by local people. Opened Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Centre in 1975 in a disused glass shop after raising money. Became a registered charity in 2004.
