My local shop, and it sells everything a man could need.
Firstly… Alcohol.
Told you it sold everything a man could need.
But it sells more.
Okay, it’s a greengrocers, so you have loads of fresh fruit and veg and it is much better value than Sainsbury’s or any of the other Grocers in Muswell Hill.
It has a well stocked fridge (why does fridge have a d in it, but refrigerator doesn’t?), with plenty of cans and cartons, including real coke in glass bottles!
It also sells all the usual stuff a corner shop should have, cereals, bog roll, foreign looking veg in jars. It is the only place that sells Lea and Perrins Garlic Sauce which is amazing if you haven’t tried it.
It’s the kind of shop you can walk in, leave the change on the counter and yell what you’ve had (that said I go in twice a day). Family owned, family ran business, and don’t we need more of them in the world today.
It loses a star, because Mali the owner isn’t always open before 7 when I leave despite claiming to be open 6 till midnight. That said, many a night he’s open till much later if there’s people around.
