The place was packed but we didn’t have to wait very long. I love their outdoor space too. Very good service and seafood were scrumptious!

The food was amazing but the service was a tad bit slow. They have an amazing 3 course special that goes for £11 or $ 16 in USD.

Always tasty, always great service. Located just on the corner of a stunning Hay’s Galleria, Cote always serves a great tasting food for a great value. Very attentive service. River view. It’s difficult to find a place with such value and focus on food. Highly recommended!

Côte is a place that I have walked passed so many times without a second glance but I was glad that I finally tried it in the run up to Christmas. Considering it is right in tourist land(on the South Bank opposite HMS Belfast) the food was reasonably priced. The cuisine as the name would suggest is French. I ordered the steak frites which cost around £11 and tasted great. I even had the chocolate fondant for dessert(rare for me to venture into desserts) which went down a treat. I would definitely come back for a return visit when I’m next in the area.

Let me start by saying I thought this was a good restaurant to be in a tourist area. The prices were reasonable for London. We ordered the special. The chicken and steak and split. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but edible. The sauce on top was good. The steak was a thin flat steak. It was good. One came with fritters or french fries. The other with scalloped potatoes. Both were really good. The steak & chicken were not the best I’ve ever had but it was a nice break from fish & chips. Sitting out by the water and enjoying the view was a big plus! We also ordered dessert. Their special which is a custard with carmel. It reminded me of flan. Nothing special My co-worker ordered the chocolate fondant which was cake with creamy chocolate oozing out of it with a side of ice cream. That was soooooo delicious! Wish I would got that. Overall a good experience. Our server was awesome! I would definitely go back!

Good food! Had the Risotto Vert, and it was quite refreshing! This location has a lovely patio with a great view of the river.

I do like this place, especially in a Sunday night because they serve until late(10pm). The location is great, in the summer you can eat outside right by the Thames. The food is nice: fish and meat are well cooked. What is a bit too bad is that the choice of beers is very limited for a city like London. Anyway, I really enjoy the atmosphere. People are nice and make the moment enjoyable.

BREAKFASTREVIEW: We arrived to an empty restaurant and asked the waiter for a table — «Let me ask the manager and see what we can do» was his response. Unfortunately I didn’t have the foresight to realise the staff here all appeared to be on their first day and were totally unprepared for serving customers. We duly ordered(no soy milk, no gluten free bread), only for the waiter to keep appearing every five minutes telling us they’d run out of stuff. «Sorry, no croissants, we’ll cook you some from scratch so they’ll take a little longer.» «No hollandaise for the eggs, sorry». They also kept returning asking us to reconfirm our order which always strikes me as wholly inept. The food started arriving in dribs and drabs, full english breakfasts first, followed 15min later by toast(when we complained we were dismissively told it was a different part of the kitchen that made toast, as if that’s an acceptable excuse for sending a half finished meal out). Coffees arrived to the table with no sugar. The freshly made croissants arrived next; absolutely stone cold so either they’d found some in the kitchen or a trip to Tesco had been made. Finally 30min later the eggs turned up(everyone at the table had finished eating at this point). Unfortunately these too were stone cold. They were duly sent back(the only time in my life I have ever sent a meal back). The manager was great and genuinely apologetic but unfortunately this did not make up for the hopeless, hopeless mess that this restaurant appeared to be that morning. Hopefully it was a one off but despite the great view and me living less than 100m away I will never, ever be returning.

Along the Thames you can sit outside in the nice weather or inside were they have an upper level or lower level. We sat inside at the lower level. Only thing is. next to the windows you are facing the sidewalk so the crowds feet are at eye level. Making every spitter walking by sound like they are spitting on you. Other than that the interior is comfortable. Got the seared tuna special. My fish was a bit over cooked. Service was friendly, although what I’ve noticed about eating out in UK is, they don’t bring you the check unless you ask. So you could just be sitting there… waiting for it. I didn’t get any photos while i was there but I found some for your eyes. and and Outside

The food was good, but their service was very slow. I was with family(5 of us total, my dad, 2 brother and sister-in-law) and it took my brother forever to get his side order and my other brother forever to get his chicked walnut salad(I guess they had to go to the farm to get the chicken, ha, ha). Later the manager appologized and knocked money off the bill. She was very nice. She also mentioned that our waiter was working his first night on the job… what gives? A very busy Thursday night in the financial district in London and they start a new waiter. I had a seafood stew pie of sorts, it was very good. Parking is in this part of London is tough. My brother lives in this urban arcade community in a flat just across the way(50 yards walk). It might be time for London to introduce valet parking… the city needs it!

Let me put it this way… this restaurant is perfectly located along the river, not too far from the London Bridge so you can just imagine the view. They offer 2 or 3 course meal for a good price during the weekdays before 7 p.m. The ambiance is very lovely… but I’ve had better food at other restaurants. You do get what you pay for. I ordered the steak and frites… it was a thin slice of steak… but it lacked in flavor and was a bit overcooked, so the steak was a bit chewy. I ordered the creamy soup as part of the 2-item and it was decent, though I did had to add a bit of salt and pepper to enhance the flavor. I also got to sample their fish and chips. The fish looked like fish sticks that they popped into the oven. I wouldn’t recommend the place… don’t be fooled with the lovely ambiance it presents. The food is almost average at best. I say save your money and go elsewhere! But I have to say, service was good though.

Don’t order their special. They use low grade ingredients. Fish and chips tasted like it was out of the frozen section. Although the cod spread appetizer was tasty. Service was decent.

3.5 .5 cuz that 2⁄3 course menu has a price that makes me smile. .5 cuz service was fantastique I’m new to french food, so i’m gonna assume this is «british» french, n’est-ce pas? I went to the London Bridge location and we got a brilliant table over looking the Thames and the weather was gorgeous so I fully enjoyed the atmosphere. The waiter was the BEST I have had in London. He was kind, engaging. Made nice conversation, very helpful with the menu. I have been looking for such service in the UK and finally found it. I wanted to tip more it was such good service. Really made me miss home. The mussels were lovely. No fault of Cote’s but I have found I don’t like mussels in tomato sauce, I much prefer it in a crème. Great time catching up and I would go back for the courses again. I didn’t feel slighted at all by my choices

We had our office party for 20 yesterday. Good friendly service, excellent choice of fixed menu’s, £50 a head but this included plenty of drinks. Steaks and chicken not quite cooked to requirements but still tastey. Allow plenty of time for group bookings, this lunch time meal took about 3 ½ hours. But good company and the time just flew by.

Splendid place and, although part of a chain, provides food and service that does not feel stamped from a cookie cutter. I see some reviewers moan about the location, but it was very convenient for where I was staying and the food was paramount for me. The duck confit is wonderful and the olives were a very nice starting point.

Good breakfasts here, had Eggs Benedict with green tea this morning. Eggs were poached pretty much perfectly. My colleague had the full English — he didn’t want all of that but there weren’t happy to let him adjust the menu so he had to have everything, which was a bit weird, but then he ate all of it anyway so maybe they knew best. They also were quite flexible with his demands for strong tea and had 3 teabags in his teapot by the end. Had dinner here once a long time ago as well, can still remember the coq au vin being very tasty Just had dinner here(22 Feb 2011) and my steak was really tough. Minus one star

The moules here are superb, their bread is great, their fillet steak is marvelous. The staff here are very nice too. What more could you ask for?

This Hays Galleria outpost of the Cote chain is extremely tourist-oriented. It is right around the corner from kiosks selling junk jewelry and the sort of items that say«…and all I got was this lousy t-shirt». That said, however, it is right on the river and has beautiful views of the water from the upper dining area. There is also a large riverside patio with umbrellas as well as heat lamps for when the wind off the river gets a bit nippy. The interior has the same sleek and shiny, well-toned look that Cote cultivates. But they cultivate that look for a reason: it’s chic and yet non-threatening and cozy without being claustrophobic. The focus is on basic food done well and succeeds on most levels. This isn’t gourmet cuisine, it’s comfortable, pleasant staples. There are choices for the carnivore as well as the vegetarian, a reasonable dessert menu and an adequate wine list. We ate dinner here on a Thursday night and it was busy with a nice mix of office colleagues, couples, tourists, and groups of friends. Just busy enough to feel interesting but not so busy as to be crowded. I ordered the Rissoto Vert(£9.85) and thought it had an interesting change-up in texure from the asparagus, beans and courgette included. The Steak Haché(£8.85) my husband ordered was nicely spiced and the Frites were crispy and flavourful. Our little one had the Crêpes Provençales(£8.55) stuffed with goat cheese and ratatouille. He wasn’t thrilled with the wheat-flour crepes, but he likes his food so he ate almost all of it anyway. I tried a bite and it was quite tasty. Subsequently, we ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning. We arrived at 10:30 after most of the breakfast crowd had dispersed. Although the breakfast menu is not available in .pdf on-line, they do serve breakfast on weekends until 1pm. So have your lie-in and your brekkie too! The full-English breakfast(£7.35) is two eggs any way, bacon, sausage, tomato, and mushrooms. No beans, kidneys, or black pudding. My scrambled eggs had a bit of parsley for added interest and the sausage was great. The bacon was just a little too salty but, well, it’s bacon! My husband and son both ordered the Eggs Benedict, the full and half orders respectively, and said they were very tasty. Tea was available in individual pots for £1.75. They had a selection of newspapers and other periodicals available(we chose the Times) for browsing and they very kindly let us while away our time after eating by reading the news. All in all, both meals were pleasant experiences. But we vote mainly for breakfast due to our own personal preference.
