This is my go to local Italian! Tony runs the place with abundant charm and a wicked laugh! I always have the baby chicken or veal or anything with truffles, which they are very generous with! Their speciality is the Como Lario risotto which is wrapped in Parma ham .i have held many business lunches here, taken the private room for parties or taken over half the restaurant for ladies lunches! SO much fun as the waiters follow Tony’s lead and are incredibly friendly while always maintaining professional distance.

I have always felt the waiters want you to leave as quickly as possible they hover too much! rush you though … The owner Tony is great, but if he isn’t around his staff don’t live up to his ethos. the food is ok… some mostly the pasta dishes far superior to others. Lasagnes, gnocchi, risotto como lario. in general a decent italian family restauarant where you feel a little too rushed.

It is a decent Italian restaurant, nothing to write home about, but if you want a warm meal in a cold evening, it will do. I had the Tagliolini in spicy crab sauce. It was quite delicious. The services were nice. The owner suggested the daily special dessert and we didn’t like it. He was nice enough to change it to something else and not charge us for it.

A gem! Eaten here many times. Never disappoints. Owner, Tony and his crew are attentive and warm. The lasagna is mouthwatering. But the Risotto Como Lario is the best ever… tonight we had osso bucco, lasagna, broccoli and a Guado Al Melo(Bolgheri) wine. Don’t miss this family run Italian jewel.

the waiters have no manners. Impolite and loud– laughing and shouting above our heads. Food — three stars. Risotto was over cooked and they brought an old truffle, so all of us got stomach sick! The best was the Sassicaia very overpriced wine. Not a place to return. More that the bill came up the £500(for four we have ordered a plate of prosciutto and Italian sausage to share, then each of us had a bowl of risotto), the waiters made us sign they were waiting for a tip. Hey. Learn manners and how to cook. I was so embarrassed, because invited my friends– well known musicians and their agent.

This is a lovely and elegant restaurant in Belgravia with a modern feel. «Lake Como» actually means«Lake Lake», so «Como Lario» is the right name for the lake… Anyway, here’s what we had back in April 2011 about the time of the Wedding: Traditional Comascan starter: Garganelli al Tartufo Nero — Rolled pasta served with mushrooms, sun-dried tomato, rucola and black truffle sauce Also a polenta with wild mushrooms Sea bream with seafood Ravioli with sea bass All delightful! Thank you.

Yuck! Stay away. Bad food, terrible service from a waitstaff who seem to think your table(at least mine) is the black sheep part of a large Italian family, to whom they can almost throw dishes of poorly prepared food and unapologetically mess up orders. No grace, no warmth, no skills. Good Italian is easy to do in London. These guys should pack it up and shut down the store. Avoid.

Major disappointment. We stopped by this evening and were excited by the fact that the place was packed. However, service and food where overwhelmingly mediocre. First, we sat down and found bread sticks and olives at our table. Unfortunately, there was already an olive stone on the plate, as if someone had already been picking through the olives. Yuck! We put that aside, and got to ordering. We started with the salmon carpaccio and shitaki sautee with bacon and percorino cheese. We also ordered a macaroni with rabbit ragut and a fettuccine with venison ragut as our mains. The apps were served promptly, but were very tame taste wise. They were fine, just not out of the ordinary. With regard to the pasta, we had to wait about 45 minutes to get it after the apps were done. And the long wait was not the worst part. To our dismay, the pasta was partially undercooked and hard in texture. It was impossible to eat. To make matters worse, both of the sauces were terribly bland and unappealing. You’d think that by the size of the crowd the food would be amazing, or that they were giving away free hats or something. But, sadly, that was not the case on both counts. I also want to add, aside from putting a 12% mandatory service charge on the check, this place also added a 1.50 pound per person«cover charge», and also charged us 2 pounds, per person, because we ordered the pasta as a main dish. Very lame — total price gouging. In the end, we dropped 54 pounds for 2 meals I could have made ten times better with my eyes closed. I can’t recommend this place at all.

How can I not love this restaurant, every time I go in someone says, ciao bella, what girl doesn’t love to be bella! And also the food here is bellisima. I have been here for lunch, it gets pretty busy, but don’t worry you wont have to wait for a table, they always have space. The service is so fantastic; even if the food weren’t delish you would still come back. But hey the food is great as well. all the pastas are super fresh and they put an extra effort on making every sauce mouth watering. Definitely one of these restaurants you come back over and over again.
