Cheesemonger Beillevaire

Ah, the smell of cheese … is not the thing you want to smell first thing in the morning. I worked around this shop for a while and it makes itself known. This cheese shop has so many amazing … and as such smelly … cheesy treats that you can tell from a few metres away. They have an awe aspiring array of French cheeses in all shapes, smells, colours and sizes; it makes it really difficult to leave without buying something. Next to cheese they also offer yoghurt, eggs and some other French delicatessen. Don’t be disturbed by the French staff … they can be nice. If not, just be not nice back. Works all the time … with them at least.
You can also be really European and order a lunch cheese board, sit in the shop or outside and enjoy your nice beer… on a cow hide stool. The lunch option offers French baguettes, cheese boards, cheesy salads, or soups. For a while they had a special lunch offer including a main meal, a drink and a yoghurt, but I think they cancelled it.
