My friends and I came here for afternoon tea before a show. Upon walking in, the host asked if we would be having dinner or just drinks… we answered that we would not be having dinner and he abruptly told us he would not be able to seat us. Lol wtf. We tried to explain that we wanted to order afternoon tea, like many of the other customers we saw having, but he walked away. So rude! We waited around and got the attention of one of the waiters who seated us. We ordered cream tea, which came with macaroons, a couple cakes and scones with jam and clotted cream. You also have your choice of tea. The prices were reasonable and the food good, but the service was terrible. Maybe that guy was just having a bad day, but to turn away customers when you have empty tables doesn’t sound like good business to me. On the way out, we saw many very beautiful cakes in the display. The interior is also nicely decorated and I’ve seen this restaurant all around London, so it must be a part of a restaurant chain. It’s unfortunate my first and probably last experience here was terrible.

We visited on a Saturday evening. My wife ordered a pasta dish and wasnt advised until her food came(a lone piece of chicken) that the kitchen«didnt make pasta today) but they substitutes french fries. My steak was low grade with lots of fat and grissel. Service was very slow. There are many better options in the area.

They’re open 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week. We’d just had dinner at Strada, so decided to stop by for desert. They have a good selection of tasty cakes, and teas to choose from. And the service is great. There’s a food menu as well — but we didn’t get to try that. Maybe next time. Same grade in almost every way to Patisserie Valerie.
