A fusion of Chinese & Japanese, referring to all their cultural cross overs, known as «Sino-Japanese». As KAIZEN refers to any improvement, one-time or continuous, large or small, so simply means «good» «change», Café KAIZEN is set to evolve constantly as the weeks go by, changing our furniture, art and mood to compliment each fashion and season that comes upon us.
Or logo & palette, derive from the traditional Japanese Tattoo «Irezumi», an artform that started in the Edo period (1600 – 1868), where «decorative» tattoo began to develop into the advanced art form it is known as today.
At our heart is the Sakura (Cherry Blossom Tree) each blossom is individual and perfectly beautiful.

Our award winning designers have created a wonder room of curiosities and creativity, behind that, just peeking through occasionally, is our raw urban industrial interior pays homage the New York lofts and Lower Manhattan social/work spaces & their infamous cocktail bars. In fact it was the Americans that introduced the concept of KAIZEN, after WWII, to help restore Japan, for which they were awarded the 2nd Order Medal of the Sacred Treasure by the Emperor
«Irezumi» is the decoration of the body with mythical beasts, flowers, leafs, and other images from stories, myths and tales. Wearing «Irezumi» is an «aspiration» to life’s goals. They used a unique ink known as Nara ink, or Nara black, the ink that famously turns blue-green under the skin, which is the original look of the truest tattoo.
In Japan, Sakura are emblematic of life’s fleeting nature they represent mortality, love, magnificent beauty. They are regarded by all as a good omen.

Jin opened his first business, a T-shirt store in Soho in 1999. London’s hugely popular Movida and Whisky Mist both credit Nilsson for single handedly packing their venues with beautiful and famous faces. Jin’s latest’s project is a totally new concept, located in the heart of Mayfair; Introducing Café Kaizen. Prompted, in part by his strong relationship with fashion and graphics; two industries that have heavily influenced the décor and theme of the new Mayfair venue.
