Asma, the owner of Boudoir Beauty, is good at what she does, what can I say? Add yourself to their mailing list, as they often offer deals at special events and 50% off services between certain times/dates and such. Though I think they will eventually take cards, when I went in they took a bank transfer ahead of time for my procedure. The space is fairly no-frills, which is fine because it is a small and intimate salon with only a couple of employees(and Asma there pretty much all the time). That said, definitely make a booking. Though they offer a huge range of beauty treatments(manicures/pedicures, massages, makeup, spray tans, etc.) I came here for what I understand is Asma’s specialty, semi-permanent false lashes. As Asma was training someone whilst applying my lashes(which I was able to get for half price, £90 for a full set), I learned a lot about applying lashes during my treatment. She uses a mix of lash brands to really tailor your false lashes to your natural set, and that provides for a more natural looking finished look. And what can I say, the finished set DID look good. I am not one to wear false strip lashes or much makeup at all, so this was a great way to really enhance my natural look without doing anything to unsubtle. The come-hither eyes come at a price. False lashes aren’t super easy to live with, as you need to take good care of them. This means no steaming, no washing your eyes, rubbing your eyes, etc. I also got one infill from Asma about 3 weeks later. I had that set eventually completely removed at another salon, as I was home in America at the time. But that technician said that whoever put my lashes on did a really good job. To sum up, do your research about false lashes before committing to them, as they are both expensive and require upkeep. But if you decide to get them, go see Asma. She really is a pro and I doubt you’ll be disappointed by her work. Next time I have a big event I want a splurge for, I’ll be back. *blink, blink*
