Ce 3⁄5 est en réalité un 3++, mais pas vraiment un 4… Tu vois ce que je veux dire ?
Il y a beaucoup de références et thèmes dans cette librairie-​depot-​vente. Je suis venue pour chercher des BD et romans graphiques pas trop cher, mais je suis restée un peu perdue. Au-​delà du fait que je suis encore novice dans le domaine des comics, le magasin semble complètement désordonné à première vue. Après 10 bonne minutes à chercher les BD je demande au vendeur à l’entrée qui m’indique là-​dite rangée.
Après une bonne vingtaine de minutes à chercher un coup de coeur, je finis par choisir deux livres qui «m’inspirent». Je m’attendais à des prix un peu plus cassés et un shop un peu plus soigné. Mais après tout, c’est Londres, quand ça à l’air d’être le bordel, c’est que c’est des experts dans leur domaine, non?

Despite my ever-​growing pile of books to read, I cannot help but walk out of this store with a few more to add to the stack. This tightly-​packed shop offers a wide range of titles at great discounts. Shelves are tidily (for a used bookstore) stocked with contemporary fiction, non-​fiction, Penguin classics, crime novels, art and photography tomes, and more. They even have a middle aisle with stacks of old comics and magazines for the true comics fan, hoarder, or vintage enthusiast. I once found a copy of Homes & Gardens magazine from 1954, for just £4!
The staff here are friendly and will not kick you out if you linger past their 8pm close time, which is great considering the amount of time you will want to spend looking through their vast and varied selection. This shop is certainly worth a visit if you are in Notting Hill.

Fantastic used bookshop in the Notting Hill area. It may not have the same selection as Waterstones, but you can always find something remarkable here — and so cheap. Husband found a rare Godwin book, I found the latest P.D. James for £2. If you’re a book lover on a budget, this is a must stop.

A must for any serious book hunter… it’s a jumble of new, old and proof copies but the real gem is the basement (all books 50p).
Heaven — I could spend hours and hours searching the shelves. Staff are always happy to help and it’s got that musty, dusty feel of a bookstore in a bygone era…

This is definitely my favourite bookshop in London — it’s inexpensive, well stocked, easy to find and the staff are really friendly. Although they do stock used books I’ve found that a lot of the book are proof copies (meaning they are technically new but often have a different cover and sometimes a few typos that got edited out of the final release) so it’s great value for your money.

Absolutely brilliant old-​fashioned style shop that has everything and anything. unfortunately there is so much stuff inside you need at least a day to go through it all, and you’re bound to spend more than you want. i remember getting distracted by some old film magazines last time i was in. Get there!
