«Buy One Get One Free, But The Bartender Doesn’t Know It» Nice little place to stop into for a drink. We saw the ‘buy one get one free’ sign outside so we thought we’d give it a whirl. We stepped up to the bar and mentioned the deal. The bartender looked puzzled and said he didn’t know what we were talking about. We said it’s on the sign outside. More puzzled looks from him. Some discussion ensued about what we could possibly mean, and then we saw the sign was posted directly behind him! We pointed to that sign, and then he said, «Oh! THAT special!» What, were we speaking Chinese? I don’t know, but we eventually got served and had a fine time there.

I literally ran inside of this place whilst trying to escape from the rain and it was a great place to have ran into! I was with my boyfriend and we thought we would make the best of the situation and settle down for some drinks. We shared the pulled sliders and they were delicious. It came with chips, pickles, and four sliders. The food was fantastic and the so was the price. The dips that came with the chips were sooooo tasty!!! It was a bit crowded but I assume everyone was just finding shelter from the rain as we did so I’ll have to try it out on a regular day. The outside seating looked like it would be pleasant on a nicer day. We will definitely be back and with friends!

Not bad at all. I had a pumpkin-based veggie burger, which was really good, as well as a Punk IPA from Brewdog. All good. No complaints.

Popped into here for lunch before a meeting and wasnt expecting much to be honest but very pleasantly surprised! Lovely menu and good quality food. Pulled pork wrap snd sweet potato fries were really good sized and quality tasting. £8.45 as well for sandwich fries and drink which is really good value for london. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my meal at Blue Posts. I ordered the fish & chips and my sister ordered the cow pie. We weren’t too sure what cow pie is but it definately tasted british. Really, we were looking for true british food and I think this pub suited our preferences quite well. The prices for food is reasonable for the area. Each dinner was aboout 10 Pounds and a bottle of cider about 5.50 Pounds. The atmosphere is great and the staff seemed friendly. Our server did seem new and unable to explain what a cow pie was but, figured it was a change. The fish & chips were quite good, not a lot of batter. I was full before I could finish but they don’t have to go containers so had to finish it. Otherwise great little place that I would definately go to again.

There are two scenarios for my best enjoyment of the Blue Posts: 1) it is horrid weather outside, but not too busy inside. 2) it is nice enough weather to drink outside Basically it is a small bar; it always feels tight and crammed, so if standing outside is not an option for you, be sure to claim a spot away from the bar. This isn’t easy as almost everywhere is near the bar. The upstairs eating area is almost always closed off for private events on a Friday night, too. However, I find that due to the size, many groups go elsewhere — meaning a handful of you may be lucky enough to get a table or space beside the open fireplace. I love the fireplace in the winter, it makes you feel cosy whilst you enjoy the mulled wine(also favourable). Generally it is the cosy feel that I like about this place; that and a good selection of beers and bottle ciders. It is a good atmosphere inside due to the cosiness, and is in a great location between Carnaby Street and Regent Street. As I mentioned, many other places are larger and thus attract bigger, more boisterous crowds, hence I find the Blue Posts simply warming and charming when we do fit inside. Standing outside is fine too, as there is enough space on the street, so long as it is warm enough and you are able to get back to the bar inside. Cosy, friendly pub popular after work with a few of us. Hooray!

A nice little pub in the Carnaby area. Quick service and a decent amount of seating for a busy pub in this part of town. Plus, they have Christmas Rekorderlig and mulled wine for the holidays!

The pub itself was fine, but on the beautiful warm day we had, the outside tables were fantastic! The location near Carnaby Lane added atmosphere and good people watching but can add a touristy element as well.

The upside to this pub is actually the upstairs room(and the same can be said of the Rupert Street branch too). Everyone piles out onto the street when it’s warm, leaving a massive swarm of drunken media types. And if you can squish past them, you’ll find the entire upstairs empty. OK so it’s not the most exciting of pubs, but if you want somewhere on a Friday for a big group where everyone can sit and chat, you’ll do well here. Prosecco is £17 a bottle, so that’s worth it if you’re having a celebration. Not my first choice of pubs, but it’ll do just fun on a busy evening.

A bit expensive, very busy(on a Friday night) and lacking in atmosphere, I thought. Met friends for a drink before heading elsewhere and it served its purpose, but nothing to really encourage repeat visits. Watch out for the other 2⁄3 identically named pubs nearby though!

this is the epitome of a old man’s pub stuck in a very trendy smelt like it too but that didn’t put off 420 something females. we were here for a little while before heading up to the clubs. the staff were young and it was packed out, inside and out so im sure they were doing something right! i bought me and my mate strongbow and it was under a fiver so wasn’t complaining! it was ok but wouldn’t really be my choice of local!!!

A nice enough ‘old fashioned’ pub. It’s a sort of chain gastro-pub type of thing. I paid £5.50 for a large glass of Rioja — which was nice, but too much for my small purse. I certainly couldn’t afford any more. The staff here are quite friendly. The Blue Posts attracts a lot of people due to its prime location in Soho — so it gets very busy, and as the inside is actually quite small, it can be very cramped and difficult to find a seat.
