A reasonable range of chinese food available. Food quality is slightly oily at times but then again it’s a buffet. Price is very good though. Atmosphere is alright at best. Tso’s buffet restaurant is a recommended place for people who are after a bite and aren’t too interested in the quality and taste of the food.

Claiming to be one of the first oriental buffets in Liverpool(I can neither confirm or deny this so I’ll just leave it) this place is very much no nonsense good but not great buffet style scenario, we have become accustomed to. Most major cities these days have China towns filled with buffet restaurants, mainly to drive the lunch time trade. The saturation of the market has actually meant that the quality of the food has also increased, as they compete with each other to bring in the punters. There is not much to shout about in terms of the food, but there is a large enough range to keep most people happy.

Tso’s is located round the corner from the Queen’s Square bus station and can be missed if you didn’t know it was there. I have been going here for many years for the buffet which can be as cheap as £5.95. The range of food available at the buffet is good, and the dishes are replenished frequently to ensure that there are no gaps or empty areas. The dishes are as you’d expect from a Chinese buffet. They have dishes such as crispy duck, sweet and sour, beef in black bean sauce and chicken and sweetcorn soup. All of these are very tasty and you will want to go back for a few helpings. The deserts are a bit limited but by the time you’ve filled up on crispy duck you’re more than happy with a scoop of ice cream and a bit of fruit, if you have room left to fit it in. It can get a little busy here during the evenings and you might find yourself a bit squished or having to join a queue to work your way round the buffet, but when the food is nice you don’t mind it too much. Tsos is an excellent place for a birthday gathering and its in a good location to start a night out from.

Out of all the Chinese buffet style restaurants in Liverpool, Tso’s is probably one of my favourites because they have such a wide amount of offerings during the lunch time buffet menu for just £5.95 per head between 11.30am-4pm. If you’re not too bothered about the food and just wish to ‘eat as much as you want’ until you’re full, then Tso’s is a great place to come whether you’re alone or with friends and family. The food is actually quite decent for a buffet. Afterall, Tso’s is the original oriental buffet in town with over 10 years experience and remains a popular dining experience. At peak times, it does get crowded with a mad rush, so I wouldn’t suggest going in a hurry during these times. Apart from that, you can’t really go wrong with the service, environment(which is pleasant) and prices which are affordable.

Resting above one of the best places to get Cain’s ales, Tso’s offers a decently sized Chinese buffet. It’s not the largest, tastiest, or most well presented, but it does what it does well. And that is this: getting your stomachs achingly full of greasy Anglo-Chinese staples(i.e. noodles, cripsy duck, ice cream with canned fruit at the end). Of course the food is not nearly as good as it would be at a sit down restaurant or even at a take away, but it’s cheap, there’s a lot of it, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. It can get crowded quickly and chairs bumping into each other is common. Also, watch the clocks, because you can be sure the waiters are. You go just a little bit over from lunch time to dinner, BAM, you’re slapped with the dinner price. Don’t bother with the drinks. Water is free and if you still have a thirst for something more once you’re done stuffing your face, go downstairs to Doctor Duncan’s for some of the finest brews the city can offer.

I absolutly enjoy going here as I love chineese meals and the fact that this place is both cheap and tasty it makes it one of my favourite places to eat(note you have to get your own plate). There is a huge selection of foods out all day.

Not my favourite chinese buffet in Liverpoolbut it is probably one of the cheapest. It looks a bit scruffy to be honest, but the food is decent.

This is a good all you can eat buffet. There is a variety of dishes on offer and you can try as many as you want. The service is also good and the staff are helpful. The only downside is that the restaurant gets really busy and as the tables are close it can feel really cramped.

great all you can eat buffet. there is such a variety of dishes on offer that you couldnt possibly try them all. there service was great, and drinks arrived promptly. the restaurant itself is a bit cramped, and you sometimes had to move your chair to let someone past. other than that, its great, i would definitley go again, especially as it has some great deals, and at certain times of the day you can eat all you want for less than £10. brilliant

This was one of the first Chinese buffets I ever visited, and it’s still a great place. Quite small so tends to get busy, but this keeps the food fresh! Good selection of food on the buffet and bargain prices. Great for some food after a hard day shopping!

Cheap and cheerful, having only ever been to 1 other buffet style chinese I’m not the greatest fan of them but they do it well and there are much more staff in this one than the other one I went to. Yes it is small and gets very busy but you can’t go wrong with the prices — unbelievable. The food is very authentic and doesn’t have the taste of standing around.

Me and my mum like to go here together its a great place to go, the food is soooo tasty and fairly cheap. they also cater for larger groups which is good for work functions. There are also alot of staff always floating about ready to help or get more wine and the service is very qwick. Personnaly i think it’s THE best Chinese buffet restaurant in the UK! Recommend to all lovers of quality Chinese food

I’ve been here on many a good night out. It says a lot when you return time and again to a restaurant. Food choice is excellent. I love the hot buffet and the choice to eat as much as you like for a set fee. It isn’t the biggest of restaurants though so booking is recommended especially as Christmas time. Parking is also difficult but with their great bar service, who wants to bring the car anyway.

This is a must for fans of very cheap chinese food(ie students mainly). For a small price one can sit for a very long time and eat until you are completely sated. The food is fairly standard chinese, but is well cooked and attractively displayed. The only negative point is that it often gets extremely busy and you may have to wait for a table. Afterwards, out of the door, turn left and go into Dr Duncan’s — one of the best real ale pubs in the Northwest!
