I was going to leave a glowing review however I’ve just been told that they are closing where I am seated upstairs so they asked me to go down stairs! They did inform me downstairs is open until 8pm. How rude– is it difficult to clean a table.?? They must have more money than sense. Does corporate know. We were already seated upstairs and they could or should’ve mentioned it. Instead of having to get all our coats jumpers etc back on. Trying to have a nice evening out with my girlfriend and we are being pushed out! The upper deck had 5 couples who were all told the same. So much for the service industry. Would I come back? NO! The hand dryer doesn’t work either.

One of the fantastic chain of coffee shops that provides lovely drinks hot and cold, snacks and free wifi for those who want to sit in and relax with their phones/tablets/laptops. The chai tea latte is a must from here!

I am something of a coffee connoisseur and this is one of my favourite coffee houses in the city centre. The coffee and food are as you’d expect from any other Starbucks, tasty but a little expensive. This branch of Starbucks is located on one of the main shopping streets and can get quite busy, particularly at the weekends. The branch is always very keen, tidy and welcoming. It is excellent for relaxing with your favourite beverage or surfing the net with the free wi-fi available. Unlike some branches it really feels as if you can relax here and take your time. The business area of the city centre has it’s own branch so this branch isn’t overrun with stressed office workers. The staff leave you to your own devices and don’t make you feel as if you have to hurry. The huge glass windowed back is excellent for people watching and basking in the sunshine whilst putting the world to rights.

There’s one reason to visit this branch of Starbucks and that’s to enjoy the sunlight that floods through the windows on the upstairs floors. You can’t tell from the main entrance on Bold Street but the back of the building has clearly undergone a big renovation with a gigantic window offering customers a unique place to sit and people watch. Apart from the interesting views and architecture however, its business as usual with overpriced, so-so coffee, toasted panninis and defrosted cakes.

Personally I think this Starbucks is pretty scruffy looking now. It used to be good, but now it seems like they don’t care about it. The seating is always a bit broken and shoddy and the tables seems to need cleaning whenever I go in. And of course it’s just like any other starbucks at the end of the day.

This is a great Starbucks! There is seating upstairs & downstairs, and the staff are marvellous! Our coffee was served very quickly even though they were very busy when we went in there, and the whole store & toilets were very clean!
