Shiverpool Ghost Tours

Initally the thought of walking about Liverpool on a potentially cold Saturday night filled me full of dread, but it was actually a really goood ghost tour. Our guides were great and handled the diverse group really well.

The Shiverpool ghost tour is supposed to display to its customers the scary and murky spiritual side of Liverpool by going through its history and displaying the most haunted spots in the city. The tour does not really deliver and to be quite honest I felt let down by the whole experience. I went along expecting a genuinely chilling tour with eerie tales which left you feeling a tad frightened, this was not the case.
There was no sense of authenticity with this tour instead it felt pretentious, tacky and far from convincing. Although I appreciate that this kind of thing requires a form of showmanship I felt the guide was far to melodramatic and not at all believable.
This is a very touristy thing to do and not many locals are attracted and as a tourist you may enjoy the novelty of the experience but as a resident of Liverpool I felt a little bit let down.

I went on a Shiverpool tour on a night out with work and it was a good night out — something different and unusual. As a tourist, it would be a pretty cool thing to check out as it’s a mix of local history, secrets and mysteries.
There are two different tours to check out, which take you on a guided tour around the creepiest corners of Liverpool including St George’s Hall. I know Liverpool quite well after having lived here for a couple of years, but I must admit, I was quite creeped out!

Audiences get to hear Liverpool’s sinister and haunted tales through a theatrical and interactive experience. It is a critically acclaimed top tourist attraction in Liverpool which suggests how popular the tour is.
The tour consists of different most haunted locations from which you can choose from. Some of these include Hope Street and St. George’s Hall. Shiverpool also combine their tours with a ghouls and gourmet meal deal which to me, sends shivers down my spine!
If you are into the paranormal (a bit like myself sometimes), then you ought to give this guided tour a try! For £13 an adult, the price isn’t too ridiculous.

If you are into Ghost stories, walking and sight seeing then the Shiverpool tours will be right up your street. This is the most well known ghost walk which explores Liverpools darker history. The tour visits the citys cultural quater and St Georges cells and courtroom where criminals were sentanced to death.
The wheelchair accessible tours of up to 40 people run all through the year. The tour puts on such a scary performance you will be doing well if you manage to stay to the end.
