Pauline Books & Media

Pauline Books & Media is located in the heart of Bold Street and sells a selection of Catholic related material in the form of books, CD’s/DVD’s, cards and other Christian gifts.
The store has a big sign and is quite noticeable from the outside plus it’s situated in a completely random place, like a couple of reviews have previously echoed. It certainly has a warm and welcoming feel regarding the atmosphere and almost feels like walking into a mini library.
Staff will give you a smile if you’re the only person that happens to be in the shop and not monitor your every move like some small shop owners might do, which sometimes can feel uncomfortable.
If you definitely have a passion for Christian beliefs (Catholic in particular), be sure to check out this pleasant shop as they sell alot of interesting items, not to be missed out on.

One of many Christian book shops in Liverpool, but as far as I’m aware it is the only Catholic store. Admittedly, this store is extremely random as Elliot has pointed out that it is situated between two less than religious stores!
However, if you are after religious material this is definitely the place to be. It is extremely well stocked with a variety of material such as books, music, and jewellery.

This deceptively small Catholic book shop on Bold Street provides a wide variety of Catholic/​Christian materials. It is one of four or five Christian book shops in Liverpool, but the only Catholic one.
When I used to work in another Christian book shop in Liverpool, this is the place we sent people who couldn’t find particularly Catholic items in our shop. However, they do stock some general Christian material as well, and those who are Christians but are not Catholics needn’t be deterred.
There is a large children’s section, multiple shelves of prayer books, lots of theology, and teaching materials, etc. The CD and DVD section is extremely small and limited.
If you can’t find what you need, items can often be ordered in.
Staff are friendly and helpful.

It’s a well stocked shop that’s for sure and is the apostolic activity of the Daughters of St Paul. Books and books and more books including self help. Jewellery, cards and CD’s.
There are copies of music including Quiet My Soul, One Moment, Holy Ground and Praise and Blessings. The shop is good for teachers who can get primary and secondary religious studies materials. Pauline Books and Media are agents for the complete course of religious education published by Silver Burdett & Ginn and Pearson Education. They also have a wide range of posters, videos and resource materials for assembly or classroom use.
