If you don’t fancy sitting in for an Indian at Gate of India on South Road, Mohi’s just down the road offers a decent range of Indian dishes for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. You don’t even have to leave your house if you don’t want to as they will deliver to your door if you prefer. You will have to get up and answer the door though, I’m afraid(unless you’re one of those people that leaves a spare key under a plant pot, then they can let themselves in I suppose). The dishes they offer feature the usual suspects, from the mild kormas all the way through to the steaming hot vindaloos and jalfrezis. I usually go for the curries somewhere in between(such as a bhuna) as they offer just the right balance of spice and flavour. All dishes are available at a fairly reasonable price for what you get and can also be ordered along with a selection of soft drinks if you so wish. The food is tasty enough, but I must say I prefer eating in a restaurant when it comes to Indians, it’s just not the same without them bringing you your food on one of those things on wheels and revealing it to you at your table.

As a major fan of Indian cuisine I’m always ecstatic when I find a takeaway I actually like. A friend recommended Mohi’s to me. I ordered in from (very tech-savvy) and boy was I not disappointed. After stuffing myself with chicken korma and pilau rice in front of Coronation Street I was extremely content. The delivery service was efficient and the man who drove my food to me(what a guy) was lovely. Mohi’s is priced very reasonably, with dishes varying between £5−7. I can truly recommend their chicken tikka masala, which was amazing. If you want a beverage to wash your Indian cuisine down with, then the takeaway also does soft drinks at around 60p. A great find.
