Little Red Vintage

Little Red is a pretty little shop on Bold Street, which is one half of what I like to call the ‘bobby-​pin’ — a Bold-​Renshaw double whammy of vintage and indie. It’s easy to spot, and it’s all too easy to be tempted in…
Little Red is small, but it carries the distinction of having what Raiders and the shops in Grand Central don’t — like sequinned, 20s-​style headbands, flower garlands, modern-​made, vintage-​inspired clothes and a Beyoncé soundtrack! I always liked the idea of reconstructing vintage to make it a little more personal, and I love that Little Red stock reconstructions as well as new-​made clothes. You really feel like they’ve fused vintage with modern-​day.
Admittedly, I haven’t yet found anything I like enough to buy (I cannot stand denim shorts, floral or bold patterns, and I don’t wear any animal-​based materials like leather or wool) — but it’s stood out enough for me to keep wanting to go in. Worth a look!

Little Red Vintage is as little as you can get for a fashion shop. That was my first impression anyway. However, do not under estimate the size of the shop though. You’ll find a glorious range of dresses albeit flowery and colourful, which is ideal for the special occasion. They’re the type of dresses that provide the sumptuous look a woman could imagine.
In addition, they offer some accessories and jewellery to match those lovely outfits. Amongst their range, are a collection of adorable earrings, bracelets and necklaces coming in at fairly reasonable prices (starting at about £10), so you wouldn’t have to break the bank; all these items are in a class cabinet suggesting how precious these little gems are. If you wish to take a closer look at one, the shop members are cheerful enough to provide assistance.

Now I’m probably the least quaified to give a thorough examination of this place but it’s not hard to see why Littel Red Vintage has gone from being a small stall within the bowels of Grand Central to having its own store in a prestigious spot in the middle of Bold St.
Oohs and ahhs from my femal friends greet each new item pulled from the well stocked rails. There seems to be an abundance of flowery dresses — more often than not they look like they’ve been made from your nan’s curtains so check the label!
But as I say what do I know about fashion, the ladies in here seem chuffed with the selection and as many accessories to boot.

It’s tiny compared to Flashback and Pop Boutique but Little Red Vintage is well worth a special trip if you love vintage fashion.
A pretty boutique on Bold Street, it has butterfly wallpaper, old floorboards and french style cabinets displaying beautiful scarves, bags, necklaces and costume jewellery. There’s a small selection of shoes towards the back of the store and a truly lovely selection of distinctive maxi dresses, sundresses, jeans, jump-​suits, play-​suits, knitwear and blouses.
What gives Little Red Vintage it’s edge is the fact every garment has been handpicked or restyled by owner Kate Harris — who clearly has a great eye for detail and style. The fact she’s usually playing cool music too, from Serge Gainsbourg to Florence and The Machine, is an added bonus.

A quirky little vintage boutique in the heart of Bold Street, Little Red Vintage is a walk-​in-​wardrobe of pretty dresses, floral prints, bags and jewellery. They have chandeliers reflecting all the colours of the rainbow and it is, as Little Red would suggest, quite a fairytale selection of items.
The earrings and necklaces are particularily dainty and they also have a great variety of big winter jumpers and cute tees and skirts, although admittedly I couldn’t see any hooded red capes anywhere…
If you’re looking to expand your own wardrobe, then personally, I’d say that this is the best place to get some really cool statement pieces to jazz it up!

Little Red Vintage calls itself «the city’s prettiest vintage boutique,» and I have to say it certainly is a pretty little shop.
If you’re an artsy type who loves colour schemes, it doesn’t matter what a shop sells – as long as the hues are right you could stay there all day. Little Red Vintage is just such an eye trap for colour junkies like me! You will be mesmerized by the pink, lime green, and pale blue chandeliers. I promise.
This shop is only about a year old, and offers some really delightful vintage pieces including necklaces and other jewellery, pretty dresses, posh miniskirts, purses, and other lovely accessories.
If you love vintage clothing, or even if you’re looking for unique fashion-​statement items that will turn heads and start conversations, this is the shop for you. But if you want the best items, you’ll have to beat me back there – I intend to return as soon as I have some spending money!
The ladies who run this shop are very friendly and helpful.

Little Red Vintage is a DANGEROUS place to enter if you like pretty vintage gear. Very dangerous indeed. Walk in at any given moment and you’re usually spoilt for choice as your eyes are assaulted by the sight of rows and rows of gorgeous (and inexpensive) dresses, shirts, jumpers, shoes, handbags and various other accessories.
I’ve never walked out of this place empty handed, and have always received compliments from people when I step out wearing items that I’ve bought here. Plus, shopping regularly at Little Red Vintage won’t break the bank — dresses tend to be around the £30 mark, and you can purchase some gorgeous pieces of unique footwear from there for the low low price of £15. Plus the staff are always happy to help and offer advice of an alternative if something catches your eye which isn’t in your size — always a bonus!
Whilst you’re there — also take a look at the necklaces and other pieces of costume jewellery they sell there. Cute, quirky and always unique, they knock the socks off the kind of stuff you in Accessorize!
I love this place — and if you’re looking for that unique piece of couture that will make you stand out from the crowd, you will too.
