‘Get off it itches!’ ‘It wont fit! Nobody else wears them!‘ Ahh yes the familiar blood curdling screams of late August and shopping for uniforms. We’ve all been there and I am starting to believe that this shopping excursion has become merely a ritual, a part of culture perpetuated on the back of spite by each generation just because they had to. In late summer this is the place to avoid because it will be rammed with annoyed kids and frustrated parents in a simmering scene akin to a Spike Lee film.

Laser Schoolwear are believed to be Merseyside’s leading suppliers of school uniforms and sportswear. Even though Laser Schoolwear has over 30 years experience of supplying the best quality school uniforms at the lowest possible prices, I don’t 100% agree in terms of the quality. When I was younger, I bought a few items of uniform here and I can recall that the sweater wasn’t one of the best I’ve had — yes, it was cheap but it was liable to wear and tear(especially after each wash) because of such thin material it consisted of. And it never kept me warm during cold winters which meant I had two options: to wear on overcoat or to purchase another sweater. Usually, I would go for another sweater and another sweater it was(which I purchased at George Henry Lee — now John Lewis), so really it depends on your preferences. Personally I don’t mind paying a bit more for better quality clothing that lasts(certainly for School).

Pretty good store, expect a queue out the door though at the start of term, very wide range of Liverpool school uniforms but prices are usually higher than other uniform suppliers.
