I was here to see the Liverpool v Wigan game. The atmosphere was lively and good humoured. A thriving venue which I thoroughly reccommend. I always chosose to come here for footy and to be amongst fellow Reds. Love the way they play You’ll Never Walk Alone post match. Nice touch!

JR’s bar is, surprisingly, not that bad. I say surprisingly because every other business in the adjoining area is a tacky crudbucket of a place. Even the KFC is worse than normal. How do they do that? I thought those places were all identical. Anyway, JR’s a long, narrow pub and grillhouse, with leather booths, affable staff and a bar the length of the Kursk. To be unfair, the fact I had no problem with it may have had something to do with how my group were the only bunch of customers in the building. The chances are incredibly high that everywhere I’ve ever hated is all down to the number/quality/ugliness of the clientele. I’ll have to recheck this drinking hole when it’s full. Watch this space, or don’t.

J. R’s is a lively city centre bar and grill which is typical of many establishments in and around the city of Liverpool. Throughout the summer and during the world cup the atmosphere here has been very patriotic and quite frankly second to none which is saying something when you take into account the volume of the competition. The ambience inside this place is great and the décor is also adequate enough making for a very enjoyable drinking experience. As prices in the city centre go this bar is reasonable and the pints are of a good quality which is obviously of the utmost importance. The staff are welcoming and friendly and seem to want to ensure that you will return here time and time again and they certainly did the job on me. It can take a while to get served but that is down to the volume of people inside and if a place is busy then you can be sure that they are doing something correctly. Basically a great bar with a great atmosphere, definitely somewhere you should check out especially when there is a big sporting event on.
