Janet’s hair salon located opposite the Brookhouse on Smithdown Road is a small unisex hair salon. With around 4 stations for hair cutting it offers cheap deals across its range and is an efficient small hair dresser. Of notable interest is the Tuesday trainee deal for a £2.50 haircut, although I might be a bit suspect to the quality of a cut for £2.50, I’m sure shorter styles couldn’t really go wrong with this incredibly cheap offer.
Well aimed at the student market, its other cheap deals and cuts inside are not to be missed although the temptation of sending mates over for a trainee haircut from the Brookhouse after a few too many is overwhelming at times.

Janets is a unisex hairdressers in the Smithdown area which really impressed me on the whole.
From the outside looking in this place doesn’t look great but that shouldn’t really put people off because the service inside betrays the somewhat shabby looking décor. The people inside are very friendly and they have male and female hairdressers all of whom are very accomplished in what they do.
The prices are pretty reasonable as well and of course they do a student discount which in my eyes makes any place a winner as there looking after the model citizens that are students.
You can visit here alone or as part of a group and always feel comfortable whilst waiting for your haircut. The wait itself is never very long and the cuts are always of a high quality.
On the whole Janets gets the job done and they do it well.
