Gourmet Coffee

If you find yourself in the business district of Liverpool, whether sight seeing (some of the most stunning architecture in the city is in this area) or attending meetings then Gourmet Coffee is a very handy and reliable place to grab a coffee or a bite to eat.
Being used to breakfast and lunch time rushes, the staff here are quick and efficient and despite long queues you rarely wait long to be served and receive your order.
The sandwich selection (made to order if you wish) is great and the breakfast time toast and hot drink deal is legendary!
Gourmet Coffee is always a pleasant and relaxing place to hang out but wait til the sun comes out… you’ll be getting in line to nab one of the outside tables so you can enjoy the sunshine and the view of Exchange Flags, truly one of the most elegant and impressive sites in Liverpool.

Not exactly a regular here but I’ve had enough coffees and been here enough to leave a review.
Always a pleasure getting a coffee from here, customer service is excellent, always a friendly smile and well wishes from the staff, prices are brilliant considering it’s a chain (they recently opened their third store), coffee tastes great, food is decent enough.
The décor isn’t amazing but that’s down to my personal taste however it’s nice enough to warrant a sit down and a relaxing atmosphere you come to expect when sitting in to drink a coffee, no issues whatsoever with Gourmet Coffee, happy to be a customer here, whenever I’m down that ways, I pop in for a latte, always a pleasure.

I go here every morning for coffee and toast on my way in to work. Staff are very friendly and coffee is always good. Ignore the bad comments below one criticism though. i wish the two people who sit near the door every day would get a roomthere constant mauling of each other puts me right off my breakfast!

Wonderful service, decent menu, and good quality coffee. The barista was very friendly and sociable. Grab a seat by the window and enjoy the view of Exchange Flags.

Great location, perfect premises, spotless everywhere, great coffee BUT gives the impression they dont want customers to mess up the nice clean coffee shop!
Stay clear if you are after atmosphere, warmth and feeling, the owner seems unable or unwilling to talk to customers as he is to busy cleaning, or is he just a snob? looking down on people.
Not the way to run a business and attract customers, I would never return far too many other places with atmosphere to choose from.
