Stopped by when I was craving some siu mai. It took about 20 minutes to get my order, but I was pleased with the quality. I also ordered some crispy fried chicken spring rolls – nothing special but satiated my appetite. The menu is huge and includes a number of different regional dishes. I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

I always find myself returning here(maybe because is conveniently a few minutes walk from my accommodation). After a heavy night their vegetarian breakfast is a great shout. Their Chinese meals are also good, decent portions for decent prices and there is a wide vegetarian selection too, which wins my vote.

Not that great but not dead bad 2 be honest, quite expensive and not upto scratch. Food was quite bland and meat was really chewy and tough. Although it has opened my eyes to the steamed har kau(shrimp dumpling).

Food express serves a wide range of tasty chinese dishes. My personal favorite is the sweet and sour chicken. Most of the dishes are served with rice, which partially makes up for what I would say is a moderately expensive price. They also serve a few english dishes, the best is full english which is great for a hungover morning feed, however there are much better places to get a cooked breakfast or a burger and chips in the area so I think it best to just stick to chinese food in food express. The staff at food express are great and always endeavor to keep you informed on delays and to try and fit you in around large orders. There is a small amount of seating if you would like to eat in but don’t plan on bringing a large group as you won’t all fit in! A word of warning to those on diets, the dishes are quite big and very rich in sauce so this isn’t the low calorie option!

This is a really good chinese and english restaurant(mainly chinese). It is situated just out of the city centre, opposite Liverpool Royal Hospital. The takeway or eat in restaurant is open 7 days a week, so not much chance on finding them shut, although don’t rock up on Sunday lunchtime because you will be very hungry by the time they open at 4.30pm. Mind you I am not sure I would want Chinese for Sunday lunch — nope — roast all the way. Food Express is really nice and clean and for all the times I have been to eat their, it has a great smell coming out of the back kitchen. This really gets your taste buds going! There is a range of seating. For those just wanting to hide away and devour your chinese(or english) meal then you can sit on the breakfast style stools at the left of the restaurant. For those wanting to spread out and sit with friends there are good sized tables to sit around. The food — delicious! As with other chinese restaurants, you can choose from the long list of dishes, banquet menus are also available. If you can’t be bothered to go to the restaurant, then don’t worry. They deliver for free and if you spend over £15 you get chicken and sweetcorn soup or prawn crackers for free. Delivery starts from 4.30pm though, so don’t think you will get your lunch delivered because you won’t. Moderate prices also, which just makes everything just fine and dandy.
