Two things surprised me about my visit to Cube. 1 — there were several people shopping in here on a wednesday afternoon in a shop situated on the quieter stretch of Smithdown. 2. The guy behind the counter continued to watch an Emmerdale omnibus on ITV4 with all this custom. Even with a blasé attitude towards his trade this hardly a good look for a shop specialising in garments for the scally about town.
And in all fairness this indifference to the custom shows in the stock. Its the usual male outfits of Armani polo shirts and YSL shirts. The look of the elder terrace casual gone ligit with post-​modern 80s casual t-​shirts for the new generation of terrace soljas.
