Absolutely appalling food with a poor customer rapport. I ordered curry rice and chips, chips were not edible just reheated from lunchtime, I went back and returned them without even an apology and even got a smaller portion in return… The whole lot went in the bin, these people should not be in business if they can’t serve a basic edible dish forget it… I will never return to this takeaway bad food, bad service, spend your money elsewhere.

When it comes to chippies, I tend to find the fine selection in Formby more than suffices when it comes to tea time and I can’t be arsed making anything or I fancy something particularly greasy.
However, if I’m ever feeling hungry and I’m in the Crosby area at the time, Charlie Chan’s is the place I like to go whenever possible.
The food they offer there is the usual chippy sort of stuff — pies, sausages, fish, chicken — but although it’s nothing ground-​breaking, it is all done to a very high standard. Their chips are deliciously fluffy on the inside whilst maintaining a good crispy coating on the outside and are a lovely golden colour. They also manage to make sure they’re not so greasy that you can completely see through the paper (never a good sign).
Charlie Chan’s also offers a range of pretty good quality Chinese food and they offer all the usual dishes for those of you who don’t mind waiting that little bit longer before satisfying your appetite.
