Ordered chicken curry/fried rice. Rice was prepackaged in the warmer, chicken/onions fried up in 60 seconds before being covered in curry afterwards. Meal was barely lukewarm, sauce was barely spiced and very greasy. Rice bland and tasteless. The worst takeaway I’ve had in years. Looks like a change in ownership. Shame. Was a good chippy years ago. Won’t be bothering again.

best place to grab food after a couple of pints, by far not the worst of its kind in liverpool and would eat there more regularly if not for the chip shop on the aiggy vale junction being slightly better food. having said that it is the vital part of any night or eveing drink on lark lane. the andy bloke who serves is always friendly and quite often chucks some extra munch in for me because he knows im a student. good shop — best in 10 minute radius

Fancy fish and chips? Well that’s clearly as imaginative as it gets here, not even Barbara’s Fish and Chips, or whatever, just Fish and Chips. It does what it says on the tin anyway. This plaice is pretty darn good. See what I did there? Oh, God I kind of hate myself. Anyway, the guy working there is one of those jokers, you know, «Do you want salt n vinegar?»… «No, thanks» … «Why what’s wrong with my vinegar?!» Cue, awkward exchange and slight laugh, but it makes the experience that bit more memorable. On a sunny day it’s nice to just get some good ol’ English Fish and Chips and sit on Sefton Park and enjoy the weather, whilst looking quintessentially English and/or like a hobo.
