Specialties

We have a number of Specialties but the ones that seem to stick out the most to our locals and customers have to be our 8oz home made burgers that come with a wide selection of toppings.

Our steak night is also a massive hit with our customers where you receive 2×10oz rib eye steaks with all the traditional trimming and a bottle of house wine for £25.

History

Established in 1900.

The Woolpack was recently taken over in November 2013 by Ruairidh and his mother Rachel. The Woolpack is now a friendly, family run pub where children and dogs are welcome! They offer a great selection of food, wines and beers and it’s a great place to stop if you are in the area. Allways welcomed by a happy friendly face and made sure you are well looked after!

Very poor experience here. Poor service no greeting /​goodbye rude, untrained staff and if you’re a fan of real ale avoid at all costs very poor pint tasting sour and as if the lines hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. there are much better pubs in the area.

Since my original review last year this place has had a revamp which is exactly what it needed and looks great now inside. Good stop off for biking the Leeds Liverpool canal.

I was pretty pleased when I stumbled accross this pub. Set out on the cusp of Oltley and Yeadon, it shares a name with the famous Woolpack of Emmerdale fame.
It’s a three roomed, marvellously decorated pub with comfy old fashioned furniture, and the exterior is equally as welcoming with an old worn stone façade. Unlike many other pubs around the area, I found it to be welcoming and a charming place to stop off at when venturing outside the usual stomping ground, whilst still keeping intrend as an old mans pub, favoured by the local community.

Sharing it’s name with the famous soap opera pub is this traditional drinking hole on the edge of Yeadon.
It’s located well away from all the other pubs which are rather clustered around the high street, and as such it is more favoured by elderly locals, which is probably quite fitting, as it looks like an elderly, local sort of place.
Infact, I love the way it looks from both outside and in — the old grey stone, ivy-​covered building makes it feel like a proper old fashioned pub, and the cosiness of the furniture inside continues this traditional theme. The one quiet beer I had was actually cheaper than I had expected it to be, which is always a nice surprise. Lovely.

This my favourite pub in the area, it is a little bit out on a limb, down on New Road side and a bit of a walk from Westfield estate or the main aeras of Yeadon — but well worth it. It is a away from the pub crawl drag of Yeadon High Street so is usually frequented by a more grown up market.
Lovely and cosy with the seating areas in nice groups. A good range of drinks and pretty fair pricing. Wines not too bad either. Always has a nice friendly atmosphere and is a great place to meet friends for a catch up as conversation is not inhibited by loud thumping music.
It has its own car park off the road and an outside area. It is on the main road but is set back far enough so this is not a problem.
