This is one amazing looking fish and chip shop. Beautifully decorated(brilliant whilte walls and fantastically shiny no expenses spared wall and floor tiling), there’s also beautiful box tree in the takeaway! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked through the door in terms of food as the décor was amazing and I wondered whether the food would be medicore. I was however very impressed. Fish and chips served in small, medium or large portions so a portion to suit all appetites and they were amazing and certainly the best I’ve ever eaten. I plumped for a small @ just over £3 as I’d had a big lunch at work. I wasn’t disappointed, the small was a very good sized portion indeed. The batter was light. The fish was juicy and meaty. The chips were crisp on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. I was in heaven. Service was excellent, nice and swift even though they cook their fish when you order. Upon leaving with my portion of fish and chips I couldn’t help but notice the buz around the place. It’s new and there’s a real interest in The Cove. I felt like I was on holiday! The staff were lovely and friendly and eager to please, asking if I wanted mayonaise, sauces or curry sauce. I will certainly be back. There’s something about that place!!! A good something!
