This is not just any old sandwich shop… This is THE high quality awesome sandwich shop! I was surprised to be walking the distance just for a lunch at a sandwich shop, but now I understand. Oh my goodness, the variety and options they have… I ended up getting the apple market panini and, my, was it delicious. Paired with a chai latte for about £8. You can make reservations ahead if you’re coming with a group and there’s additional seating upstairs.

The best place in Kingston to have a light lunch. The Terrace serves amazing sandwiches, freshly made in front of you, not to mention the soup of the day, delicious. Can’t fault this place.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Terrace in Kingston. I find myslef repeatedly dragged back by the allure of the fantastic quality food and coffee, only to bludgeoned upon arrival by the rude, pointing, frowning and sarcastic staff members. Every time I walk out, I think to myself right, thats it– I’m never going back to that place but then I tuck into my carefully prepared deli sandwich or salad, and sip on my perfectly balanced coffee and I take it all back! Sort it out Terrace!

Terrible rude service. overpriced. took 35 minutes to make my panini and got it wrong. Plus they over charged me. Upon arrival to The Terrace and choosing my lunch, I approached the til to place my order. The manageress was chatting to another member of staff while I was waiting. She continued to chat about some guy who had irritated her in some way and held a finger up to me as a symbol for hang on a minute, I’m busy talking rubbish. When she was gracious enough to serve me, she was quick, rude, over charged me and got my order wrong. I then had to wait over half an hour for a panini(wtf) and when I politely asked a waiter after 20 minutes how much longer it would be, he looked confused and went and got someone else who told me it would just be a minute. There was no apology for the delay. Another ten minutes later I asked again(less politely than before, but still not what I would consider as rude) and was met with a shrug. A SHRUG! After a full 35 minutes I received my stone cold panini with it’s wrong ingredients and it was fine in taste I suppose — the bread was nice, but not at all worth the £7 I paid. I couldn’t be bothered to complain as my previous attempts to communicate with these Neanderthals had been met with blank stares and disappointment. Oh, and the tap water I asked for was given to me in a dirty glass. Lovely.

I’ve got to agree with everyone else. The Terrace is a really good sandwich shop. Overall, it isn’t that spectacular and is a bit on the pricey side, but for the area it really is the best place. There is always beautiful rustic breads on show and the food is just so fresh. It use to be two shops before but has been merged into one mega restaurant. I love the Terrace for its design. Simple. Black and white décor, classy, comfortable and timeless. The last time I went there was for breakfast. I had a lovely omelette and my friend had the granola with fruit which, when seeing it made me regret the egg. My latte came out with a pretty pattern on the top and was delish. Great for breakfasts.

What a terrible place and I will never go there again! Service is rude and argumentative and they have not a clue on how to make a basic omelet. If you want proper food go somewhere else.

Very good café, something Kingston is short of. For this reason, the Terrace gets very busy and you can end up queueing far too long. Also the ordering system on post-it notes is probably not the most effective method of working… as a result, some of the serving staff are a bit stroppy/stressed. Neither is shouting out your orders whilst carrying your food via every table. Good door-wedge sandwiches though and good choice. Having got so popular… The prices are a little extortionate so I’m afraid the score has to be adjusted accordingly!!! Shame, but I don’t want to pay dinner prices for lunch in a café!

Delicioso! Tucked away from the big high street in Kingston is The Terrace, a quaint little sandwich shoppe. But more than just sandwiches! Loads of salads, smoothies, soups, the works! I was blinded with options, but choose a Chicken Tikka sandwich as it had mango chutney on it. It’s like all your Indian food in one!(Err… sorta.) It was a colossal sandwich. It was made with their Rustic bread, which, YOMG was so good, and very soft with crusty edges! For £3 and some change, you’re best off splitting it with someone. Or eat the other half for dinner. Or save it for your lunch tomorrow. Either way, in the words of Mortal Kombat, FINISHIT!

It’s really just a sandwich shop but I love the rustic crusty breads you can get your sandwiches made with. You could probably split one of them between two people unless you’re like me and want to just gorge on something tasty as a special treat. Nice people behind the bar too. I like that they ask before putting butter on your sandwich!

The range of different sandwich fillings in this place is amazing, the walls are filled with blackboards of menus and unsurprisingly it can take a while to make your mind up with all this choice. The food is always fresh and you can see it being made in front of you. On top of(what seems like) hundreds of filling options you can choose from 8 or so different types of bread(Brown rustic is my personal favourite). The queue usually extends out of the door especially in the middle of lunchtime, but the staff are very efficient and it never takes long to get served.

This busy little café is very inviting, because the service is fast and effective. The restaurant area upstairs is cosy and they serve very good soups and jacket potatoes. This is a good place for lunch when you want to relax from a busy day shopping!
