Boat restaurant with stiff atmosphere. Prices are a bit high for the area but I’m on the Ipswich marina so clientele is not swaying away from more cost. Saying that a two course is under 30. Classy staff, but attention to service was lacking, charming being on a boat. Slightly romantic — only saying that as I’m on my own — but there are couples about. Ordered a fish soup. It was not what I expected. My idea of one is it’s got chunks of fish. This one was a fishy purée. Not to my liking. Possibly something posh, possibly something not. Either way didn’t finish it. Put it aside and for a bit seemed like the wait staff didn’t want to deal. Eventually some poor chap approached me and asked if the plate sitting well beside me was ok to remove. I said yes and with a blank faced-​look from him I was forced to say — not to my liking. Just got main small chicken breast stuffed. Not enough sauce and a bit dry. Oh dear not one I’ll be coming back to.
