Pets At Home

Big, friendly and usually well stocked, but as with a lot of pet shops, difficult to get some greyhound specific items.
On the whole though, I use it for free parking, and being close to the door is a must when hauling 15kg bags of kibble about.
They’re always really friendly to my greyhound, Sir Charles, feeding him biccies and generally cooing over his awesomness.

As a massive animal person, who has 5 pets, Pets at Home is my go to place for any animal needs. This specific branch of the company is massive, with everything from dog food to rabbits, gerbils and mice!
The staff in here are always really friendly and will help out with any needs that you might have in store. Decent prices, good products and happy animals!

I went in here at the weekend to have a look at the rabbits. I got to the runs and there were cages up one side so it blocked the view of one run a bit dissapointing. They had a few rabbits and some smaller animals gerbals etc. They have a good range of fish all different colours and shapes. The store supplies a range of hutches, tanks, cat foot and toys as well as dog toys and food etc. There were dogs on leads but I was a bit miffed at one owner who I could see in the distance had her dog on a longer lead so much so that it was scaring a child all be it a smaller dog the woman just kept saying it’s okay! It was really busy and it looked like there was a woman at the back of the shop with pictures of dogs that she must have taken a bit like the children’s photographers, which is something new to me.

Situated in the new palace grounds in Hamilton. Pets at home is a large pet shop which supplies just about everything, from dog food to tropical fish. I always find it strange that everyone can walk into this shop with their dogs, cats and rabbits (yes I have seen someone with a rabbit on a lead) whereas it is normal for pets not to be allowed in a shop. This just goes to show you how friendly this shop is. The staff are trained to help with any pets questions that you have, which is reasuring. The only downside is that it is a really expensive and I’ve found it cheaper to buy elsewhere.
