History

Established in 1881.

Robert Morley & Company is a family business and was founded in 1881 in Lewisham. It has remained in the Catford/​Lewisham area with its shops providing quality pianos for the area. The Company made pianos until 1950s when it changed and started making John Morley early keyboard instruments (clavichords, spinets and harpsichords) but also reconditional upright and grand pianos for our customers. We have offered a home rental scheme since 1975 for families to have a good quality piao for their childre/​adults to learn on.

The company’s directors are all family members who work within the business continuing to provide pianos and early keyboards for our many and varied customers.
