The Learning and Teaching Centre at Glasgow University is home to, among other things, a great media resource centre. This is the place where everything for Glasgow University Student Television is filmed, as well as where media and filming courses are taught.
In the basement of the building you’ll find a large studio room, complete with prop storage room and green room. The Studio is stocked with all the technology needed to make filming a show possible. You’ll find studio cameras and an autocue machine along with a series of microphones and a lot of different types of cables!
The studio is on the basement floor of the building, but it stretches up two floors.
This connects with the control room; which is based on the ground floor of the building and has a glass wall that overlooks the studio. In here, you’ll find all the sound equipment as well as preview screens.
This professional resource can be booked out by students for certain projects.
