If you’re looking for a nice meal before a gig then I’d avoid here. Kitchen just couldn’t maintain the quality of the food due to being so busy. But if you’re looking for a decent cocktail then try La Rotunda.

After having a great meal in both Fino and Yen the previous two nights, on our final night we decided on La Rotunda. Two words, big mistake. The service was slow for a not so busy night and the worst part was that we asked if we can have Spaghetti Carbonara without the cream(as it should be). We were greeted with the driest, blandest dish ever, boiled spaghetti with a sprinkling of pancetta(no exaggeration). The chef must have been a novice because when we asked for egg yolk to be added it was resent with extra oil. The dish was not seasoned at all and had no taste. Worst Carbonara ever. Big shame as the appetisers were good. Would not eat here again.

Note: I’ve never actually been inside the restaurant — I’ve just ordered takeaway from this place a number of times, so this review is only on that aspect of the business. I was really pleased to find that there was something ELSE to order in Glasgow other than Indian/Chinese/Pizza from a takeaway place, as those can get boring after a while. I ordered form , and usually got my order about 45 – 60 min later. Every time I’ve ordered, the food has been really good. I’ve usually chosen a variety of tapas-style dishes, my favorite being the arancini and ribs! Only complaint is that the quantities of items in the orders are inconsistent, for instance I once got 3 delicious balls of arancini, the next time the order only came with 2. Quality is good though, and about the same price as other take aways.

Went here around 6pm midweek. Very friendly greeted by the manager. Sat at our table of choice in a nice quiet and private part of the room. There was two menus on offer the a la carte menu or pre– theatre which was excellent value at 3 courses for around 12 pounds. Food was excellent with good portions sizes and was very well presented and tasted fantastic. We also received a complimentary entrée to entice our appetites before our starters arrived which was very tasty. Overall the staff were very friendly, food again was fantastic on both occasions we have been, atmosphere is good and the styling off the place was modern and appealing to the eye. Although we opted for the full menu which was around 10 pounds per main course, when the bill arrived I felt that it was still a fantastic value for the quality of food we were served.
