I’ve been wanting to visit A Wafer a Cone ever since it opened. Based solely on their amazing, puntastic name choice I knew they deserved my custom! Since we’re experiencing some amazing weather right now in Glasgow, I wanted to extend my commute home a bit so I could enjoy the sunshine. Right, I told myself, you can have ice cream but only one scoop and no toppings! Hahaha, I caved so easily as soon as I saw the flavours on offer in Wafer! I decided to go for a two scoop tub, that came in at £2.30. I chose coconut(Bounty) ice cream, as that is my favourite flavour, and Daim bar ice cream. I saw on the price board that toppings and sauces were free, so I also asked for nuts on top. When I came to pay my ice cream was £2.70 — it would appear that some toppings are more free than others! I was a little miffed, but I now had tasty ice cream so I didn’t care enough to mention it. Both ice creams tasted amazing and I had the whole thing scoffed by the time I walked home! The shop is pretty small but nice. There’s a small seating area inside but they had some tables and chairs outside due to the nice weather. They sell milkshakes, sundaes, cones and tubs, as well as desserts(think waffles, crepes and cakes) and hot drinks. They also sell a variety of pick and mix style sweeties and slushes. I believe they also sell soup and filled rolls, but since the opening time is not until later in the day I think that’s a bit odd. The staff we nice and polite and I will no doubt be back again and again for even more extravagant treats!
