I have to give a 4 as 3 would be low. For local standards it is worth giving it a go. Staff is attentive and service is appropriate. Salmon asked on rare side was perfect but burger asked at medium rare was well done. Will give it a second go

Wholesome, hearty British food is on the menu here. It would be advised to eat nothing all day because the portions ARE HUGE! Saying that, I had eaten a massive lunch and still had space for a delicious Brie and Beetroot tart and a portion of whopper whopper chips! Lovely little pub in Braishfield, warm and cosy atmosphere and friendly bar staff. The food is great pub food and just what you’d want after a long day in the office or at the end of a long country walk!

Newly refurbished and now serves great food and beer. It’s a asset to the town centre and well worth a visit.

The very first thing to strike you here is the outstanding display of flowers growing in boxes on the walls. The inside is old-​style and exactly what i like in a pub. Meal, traditional ales etc. The only thing i didn’t like is that it is situated on a very busy road.

Lovely old building but recently closed again for more repairs — think the owners, Enterprise Inns, have let it go to rack and ruin over the years and the poor landlords have to suffer the consequences. That said the current boss and his lady are doing a good job with reasonable lunchtime food and regular entertainments. The beer is a tad hit and miss but generally OK. Garden patio good in summer. No parking is a downside
