I would say that Wilkinsons or better known as Wilkos has taken up the mantle previously held by Woolworths in that you can buy pretty much anything in here from shoelaces to make up to bin liners to baby clothes. It even sells food and drink. You can go in here and pick up a gift, along with wrapping paper, a card, a pen and even sellotape and scissors — a timesaving haven! The prices are low and the staff are very friendly. I enjoy shopping in here for the bargains as they regularly do decent buy one get one frees.

This is such a great shop for all the sorts of things that you need but can’t think where to buy them!
The Frenchgate store isn’t the biggest in the world but there’s still a really good selection of stuff. Especially good value is the hardware — screws, sockets and the likes, as these are a fraction of the price you’d pay in B&Q.
They sell toys but I think this is something they could probably improve on as I’ve never seen anything there that I’d want to buy for my kids. It all seems to be lesser quality but full price which is surprising as the rest of the stuff instore is really good.
Parking isn’t great as you’ve got to pay for the Frenchgate car park and if you’re buying larger items then you’ve got to lug them through the shoppers and all the way back to the car. For that reason, it’s probably best to use this store for smaller essentials than bits of furniture (unless you can borrow a strong bloke for the day).

Good bargains in Wilkinson, but I find this store is hard to get around. The aisles don’t seem to be in any logical order so it is easily confusing. Also location is not that great as it is located on the second floor near to Woolworths exit. Unless you were going to Woolworths you probably wouldn’t walk past.

Its really cheap. It stocks a good range of products, cheap toiletries in particular, although you have get probably cheaper ones in home bargains which is located in the Colonaddes. It can be quite busy at peak times

Wilkinsons is great, you can always find a bargain in here. This shop sells alsorts — toiletries, cleaning products, gardening stuff, electrical, homeware and more! It’s always worth a look in here because more often than not it’s cheaper than elsewhere. Only downside is that it’s always busy but that’s because it’s so good!

This is a great place to get all your toiletries there a fraction of the usual recommended price, they also have a good range of homewares and DIY, here, They sell childrens toys just over christmas and thease are all great value to, As they dont sell toys for the rest of the year, come january they sell them all of really cheap, around 70% of .ive bought a kids kitchen an a kids work bench&tools before for £5 each when they should have been £20 each, This shop is worth coming to get all your xmas decorations to

This wilkinson is based within Frenchgate shopping centre. It’s a good size store and ofers homewears, pet supplies, DIY/​Decorating supplies, Kitchen/​Cookwear, Garden items, toys, Games, Storage, Stationary and Cards.
There are always great prices on offer and they offer some great toys and games around Christmas time.
Regular offers in store means that you can often get extra savings on products too.
The staff are helpful and know the layout of the store well so can quickly help you find what you’re looking for, they are also willing to let you know alternative places to find things if they don’t stock it.
